2003 radio options

Hi. I have a 2003 Impala, with cassette/am/fm. I want to replace it. The dealer says that I can put model numbers 10335223 (AM/FM/CD), 10335226/10317994 (AM/FM/CD/CASS) in it. I found a site http://www.radiosandmore.com/prod_detail.asp?pn=10335226 that says that the 10335226/10317994 is also known as 09379071, 09394159, 10310458. Does anyone know if these other numbers will work? Also, has anyone tried another radio with the 12 pin 24 pin configuration in their Impala and had it work? I was looking at the six disc in-dash changer that comes with some H2s, and it has the same connector on the back. Why wouldn't that work? Something to do with the VIN? Any help would be appreciated.

I have seen car's on Car domain with radios that were different from the impala ones, so I would say yes.
