clutch always engaged?

it's like the clutch is always engaged, the car will start, and go into every gear fine while on, but when you take your foot off the clutch it's like you never did.. still will go into gear, still wont move, just rev's. upon visual inspection without pulling the tranny everything seems fine... is it the clutch? ive never seen this happen before...

Either the clutch is wore out or something is causing the clutch not to engage. Possible sticking throwout bearing.

Another possibility along the lines of Mork's suggestion is the slave cylinder could be bound up in the extended position of if is it loose the shafts could be in a bind.

Pop the hood and check your vacuum line. I Had mine wiggle off and lost the rubber tube from extreme amounts of bass
