Is This Normal?

I've had my 04 Impala for a few weeks now and I noticed that when stopped at a light on slight incline with the tranny in drive, the car will roll back when releasing the brake - just like a standard transmission. Is this normal for the Impala's 4T65E tranny? This is the first time I've had an Automatic behave like this. ??? :)

I don't know if it is normal, but every Automatic Chevrolet I have owned does this. I currently have a 2001-Impala (when it is not in the shop) and it rolls slightly back on inclines once it has warmed up. It seems like until it warms up the idle is higher and the engine tends to keep it still but as soon as the engine has warmed and the idle kicks down it doesn't have the forward power to keep from rolling back slightly on inclines. Unless the incline is extremley steep it doesn't cause much problem. But if the incline is steep and someone pulls up behind too close it always makes me nervous that I am going to roll back into them before I can step on the gas to pull away.
If you hear of an corrections please post them here. I would be interested in hearing about them.

AW,
Thanks for the reply! I don't need to worry about the rollback anymore.

I am glad if it helped. Now if I could just get my 01 back and working I would be happy. I really haven't had to many complaints until now regarding mine. It has been a great family car. This latest issue I am having is just compounded by the fact the Dealer who sold it to me and is the only one (GM Dealer) that does the service is useless.
I hope yours is a great car too.
