Watching sport

Why is it, that when ever I watch our country play a sport they always play like shit, and the minute I turn the box off and walk away, they end up playing well?

Who the fuck would have thought that our black caps would have beaten Aussie after that crap start. Bowled out for 199 and then when they came out to bat they were smashing us around the MCG at a run rate of like 10 an over. Off coarse I turned the TV off in disgust and went to bed. When I woke up this morning and found out we won, I thought....WTF HOW????

Griggles I get the same thing when I watch the All Blacks play! the bloody tosser lose everytime I watch and win if I don't. Hell I was watching when they lost to the bloody French in the world cup, but beat Australia when I didn't. That sux cuz how can I enjoy it when I can't watch them play....... :finger4: :finger4: :finger4: :finger4: :finger4: :finger4: :finger4: :finger4:

Must be some sort of bizzare "down under" sport you're talking about. Ah well, if it doesn't say HOCKEY then its really only a game or activity anyway. Hockey is the only "sport" :D

When I first saw it we were 7/96. Then 8/185.

Then the aussies were batting, and it was 1/30something, then ponting had over 30 in about 20mins so I wrote the game off.

Now we one! damn!

It was Jamaica that sent the bobsled team that year.

Well even though I am a kiwi now the States has only lost three times in history in the Americas cup race so they have a good winning percentage.

They own Basketball
Amercian football (of course)
Baseball
would kick our asses in hockey and soccer (even though they sux).

But we would cream em in Rugby and cricket and lately in sailing :)

Naturally but at the end of the day the players finally stood up and were counted and did not back down and take any shit either.

A good old punch up on the field is whats need these days. To much bloody TV shots beaming in on every players move.

They cant fart on the field without us all knowing about it these days.

miserable soft desk-pushing piles of dung....They probably all have Ladas with caravans anyway.

and at the end of the day the two players who got involved in the late tackel that started it all are standing around hugging.
Just shows that after a good brawl you can still display some good sportsmanship.

Americans couldnt play rugby with out sueing someone for getting a cut on thier upper lip after a very gentle tackle.
and theres no way any of them have enough of an attention span to even sit through half of the first innings of a one day cricket game.

nobody here plays rugby, or watches soccer..... those sports aren't big here
I don't even know when soccer is on the sports channels, i think it's only on like once a week.

We're into sports like:

Hockey
Basketball
Football
Golf
Baseball (even though i hate it)
boxing


those are the biggest sports in North America I'd say..
an i love'em all besides baseball

plus... dream team, need i say more! :D :D
in the olymics we dominate, and has the dream team EVER lost??


i think even college football and NCAA Basketball gets more covereage time than rugby, soccer, cricket........... combined :)
