yep connected my alarm up again after being disconnected for over a month, re did the wiring under the dash for the ignition wire and nope! still doesnt work, still goes off when i drive and its really pissing me off

can someone provide a pic of what ignition wire it is that you connect the yellow wire from the alarm to? the one that senses that the ignitions on so it wont go off when your driving causing you to go insane!?!?!!?

that would be VERY much appreciated, thanx :)

its weird cuz its worked for almost a year, nothings been changed, i install some foglights and it decides it wants to be gay and screw up on me the same day and i didnt cross any wires either, so i need your help asap!

Um i dunno on mine there is several wires to tell if the engine is on.
Check the oil sensor, brake lamp, ignition, acc wire, negative door trigger. Sorry cant help much.

Most likely the ignition wire by the key came undone, thats the reason why mine would always go off when i was driving.

Anyh wire that shows 12+ when the car is on is a good enough source for ignition. I wonder if the way you hooked up the fog lights is somehow back feeding into the alarm?

i've tried disconnecting the foglights and the alarm still acts gay!
so if you can show me a pic of where on the ignition to connect that wire it would be good :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Like I stated before, ANY wire that shows 12v+ when you turn the key on is OK. I think it is black/yellow??? Anyway, what brand is the alarm? I also need to know what you mean that it goes off??? Do you mean it arms itself and then gets triggered into full alarm? Or does the siren sometimes go goofy and make alot of noise but not really like it's armed? I would also double check the 12v constant and grounds to make sure they are correct and not loose. Some cheaper alarms will go into full trigger mode when as soon as you hook up power and ground.

the wire you are looking for is black/yellow on the ignition harness. What brand of alarm do you have? If you dont get it figured out let me know.

Ignition harness, its the black wire with a yellow stripe. Did you cut it and hook the alarm between it with the relay?

When you hooked up your foglights was the ground wire touching the 12v bec. that would be putting power to all the grounds which would cause it to go off.

the alarm is a crime stopper unit, i'm gonna get rid of the foglights and see if that helps
also, the siren will go off for like 2 - 4 seconds and then u can hear the car arming and dis arming and it does this like 4 or 5 times then after a few mins it'll do it again, i dunno what the hells going on
