So what do you think, is it robbed, or is it close to the 350 the Vette has?

I can tell you for sure that the detune is not from the computer but my answer is yes and no , Yes the LS1's are closer to Vette Spec's than to the 305 rating they tell you but no the Vette has a slight edge but like its only do intake difference and a cam difference but like I said before some LS1 f-bodys have been dyno proven stock to put out more horsepower than the same year Vette but every engine have slight build variances

Formula is right my friend has an 02 Z28 and his fatory specs are 310 hp and he made 337hp. While that may not be more than the vette it is more than the SS. Ur car is not detuned.

So figure What, I probably have about 330+ at the fly and about 300 at the wheels. That's what I heard most guys here have dynoed stock. That's what i thought, only difference is that the Vette breathes better, and so makes 345, 350 whatever.

Yup Joe thats about it, yourSuperman LT1's that didn't come from the factory with Z rated tire's had a governor that cut off ignition at around 115 -130 or something like that, I don't know what the exact number is as I had mine taken off long before I got close to those number's, but I would say if you had 2.73's probably 155 MPH give or take 5 and with 3.23's around 150 MPH but trust me don't try it without some suspension work

So Formula... What will LS1-edit or Dyno-tuning due to it then?

Well , your car's without even one mod is able to get free horse's just from tuning , They can change your air/fuel ratio to lean out the car and add some extra ponies. Make your cooling fans come on at a lower temp, change your cars injector pulse based on what the mass air sensor tells it and if you have a mod it can make the computer operate with the new changes to yield the horsepower figure your supposed to get. Basically almost anything you want. Your car was basically set up as middle ground to yield good fuel Mileage, Low emisions & performance with some basic tuning most stock cars see 14 Horsepower or more and Modded cars have gained some awesome number's

I have alway heard that a Auto will always be quicker because it shifts perfectly untill something messes up. I have a 1989 Camaro Rs With a 406 sb pushing i think around 450-500 hp and a 700-r4 delivering the power. I plan on putting a T-56 6 speed in it with a 4.11 Rear end, but thats just me.

they tried a stick in the TTA for 1989 and the car was a full second slower.
If you are drag racing and want to win, go with an automatic. A stick cannot shift as fast as an auto, even without a shift kit.
oh, and how in the hell are you sending 450-500 HP through a 700-r4??? whats done to your car?

I agree. My SS has the T56 and I love it for a daily driver, but for the drag strip, I put a 400 turbo in my S10 ( 350 in an '86 S10 :grinno: , The best et I could ever get was 14.95 WITH SLICKS because the engine was stock AND ready to blow up :banghead: ). If your talking heads up racing or brackets, you can never shift as quickly or consistantly as an auto. One of the only things a stick has going for it is the fact that you can leave the line at whatever RPM's you want, but if you ever driven a car with an automatic and a transbrake, you would'nt even think twice about which to go with for all out performance.
