raced a max, z, ws6

on my way home from the chipotle ohionissans meet, i decided to hop back on the hiway to try to mess with some cars. getting right on the onramp i spotted a 4th gen maxima with altezzas, tinted windows, exhaust, etc. hopped on his ass.... we hit a straightaway and i started dumped the bov in his face. he stepped on it, i pulled on him from the start and took him by about 6-7 car lengths from 65 to 100. i wondered how my max would do against it... :P

about 2 mi down i ran into a brand new 350z with tinted windows, aftermarket 18", and exhaust. i just went in 4th, caught up to him, and let go of throttle to let him hear my bov. he looked right over, started smiling, i shifted to 3rd and took off. we left the same exact time and we were dead even from 65 all the way to 85, then i gained about a 1/4 length. around there i shifted to 4th and just kept pulling. around 105 i was about 1.5-2 car lengths ahead and i changed lanes to get right in front of him. wooha! i wondered how i would do against that bad boy too...

about 30 seconds after that race, i pulled right next to a ws6 and did the same thing and he definately heard my bov :twisted: he had tinted windows and aftermarket rims. the next thing i heard was utter amazement. he dropped back to check out what car it was, then he pulled right even to me and revved. i have never heard a car sound like this. it seriously sounded so incredibly mean and weird, like it was from outer space. :eek: i downshifted to third and took off but it was no match, after about 15mph he had a good 2 car lengths on me and he just let off throttle. we played around a little on the hiway too, but he did just about the same thing to me again. whoever that was, that was an awesome car. mad props! my first loss.... but im ok with that one :D im finally learning what times i just about have (hi 13s?)

i also had a few misc races with other cars but they weren't worthy of mentioning, anything from a grand prix gt and down i kill by 10+ car lengths over about 10 sec or less.

btw all the kills were at stock boost (7psi). my boost controller comes today and afc comes friday, then ill be running 13psi.

sorry layla haven't been up there, i had the car for about almost 3 weeks and ive only been driving it a little over a week. its been parked and ive been trying to fix it up the best i could. i didn't drive it almost the whole last week because the wheel almost fell off and i needed a new hub. before that i couldn't drive it because my back brakes were gone. ayayaya what a mess it was.

Maybe the Firebird was supercharged? Or just one nasty cam.

talked to someone else too about the firebird. im not sure how those cars handle mods but it was heavily modded... or supercharged. i've seen 12 sec cars before (and been in them), and they didn't pull like that did.

Master's Auto is the shop I work at over on State Road. It's hard to miss, since it's between the State-Pearl intersection and Biddulph Road. You just look for the big blue sign that says Masters and that the place.

I'm usually working there between 1:30pm and 6:00pm, so drop on by and we'll shoot the breeze after I get off work.

Heck, my place is just up the street from work, so we'll get a six pack of IBC root beer and start spinning lies about how fast we are.

Though remember, Layla's not coming home until Saturday. And she'll be coming hom on a two wheel U-haul dolly. Blown starter equals no run.

It's just hard to believe that you have no trouble with SS's, which run LOW 13s, when you have two extra bodies in your car. But you barely squeak past a 350Z. Modded or not. I would have to have some serious work done to it to shave almost a second off of it's time, which is how much faster the SS is. 350Z stock run low 14s(in one of your old posts, YOU say they run mid-upper 14s). For him to be as fast as that SS, he would need ~60hp of mods. That's A LOT. You say yourself you suspect you run high 13s. But to beat an SS with two extra people in your ride, you would have to be running more like high 12s. That's why it's kind of hard to believe...For me at least.

Was it a 98 or newer WS-6? If so they have the LS1 of course and it would run a low 13 stock in 6 sped trim. They respond VERY well to mods. All they need for low to mid 12's is full intake and exhaust, a cam and stickier tires. Then a 3.73 or 4:10 gear may even get it into 11's. There have been instances of LS1 F-bodies running very high 12's stock.

I'd relax on mynismo. I saw a guy that had a mildly modded SS at Speedway. The guy only cut a 3 sec. 60' and ran a 15 sec. 1/4 mile. Kinda hard not to beat that. Good kill Nimso, and nice car. 350Z's never gave my former Z28 any trouble, even with a headstart.

That vid is proof that you can screw up a roll race too. They also have a vid of a Viper losing to a Z06 from a roll. The dude straight up granny shifts every gear. Roll races take out alot of the factors in racing, but you still have to have some skill, however minimal.

Another mod that stuck with the rule-of-law banned him for spamming his forum on AF.

It's just a temporary ban, but there's no way of telling him, as we can't PM him, and the e-mail he originally used to sign-up with was either deleted or fake to begin with.

If any of you are in contact with him (flylwsi, for example), make sure you let him know.

well i found out about the firebird. it's actually one of derek's friends. its an 11.3-sec built-up motor with nasty cam(s).

we took videos of me going around town killing a muscle car as well as his friend's own modified tiburon gt. we woulda had one of me racing a modified cobra but we forgot the video cam.... not sure what the outcome would be but we were dead even up to 60 with an extra passenger in the car.

i really do think i have a freak of some sort. we plugged in a jdm blitz super computer and the thing is nuts, i can completely break the tires loose 2nd gear and im shooting out flameballs. bad thing is that i cant take it up to columbus this saturday because the car is down for construction... waiting for a new thermostat, dash, front end, and a few gauges that stopped working (including tach). should be rolling again next week.

ill try to get those videos from my friend that we took so you guys don't hire out a hit man to get me for telling lies :evillol:

Like I said, there was one mod that stuck to the rule-of-law, and did what he was supposed to do.

There was mush discussion in the mod's corner about this, and it was decided, because of mynismo's tenure, that only a temporary ban was in order...a sort of time-out. After the mod had done this, he realized that there was no way of informing mynismo from here, on AF. I would've suggested him going to mynismo's forums, but it says nowhere where we have to go out of our way to do these things. If the mod wanted to do such, he would've.

For your FYI, I moved your post about it from here to website discussion, which is perfectly legal, especially since the site was about cars. That was left untouched.

becasue the first screen cap(carnut's) isn't of the spam forums it's a search of mynismos posts. i think a mod said not all of the posts were deleted, so some are still in use and/or some of the other posts aren't even concerning Northeastnissans. the second screen cap is of the spam area. i'm not sure but i'd assume you can't post in the spam forum, that it's like the trash can, mods put existing threads there and once there it becomes listed as spam.

Again, the advice of "STFU if you have no idea of what you are talking about" comes to mind.

Let me break this down for you, where your plebeian mind can understand:

1) The "Spam" threads are in the "Spam" Forum, because they were moved there, after being SPAMMED all-over the Nissan forums. It was moved by the mod who had no idea who mynismo was, except for the fact that he was spamming his new site all-over AF.

2) The Spam forum is not a "mod" forum, but as BP2K2Max correctly assumed, is sort of a "trash bin" that we mods use when somebody comes around comes around creating forum irrelevant threads, spouting about the next big money-making scheme, the new auto website they have, the race they want you to pay and participate in.

Most of you will not see those threads, because the mods are doing their best to keep them away from you, and from AF.

We were NOT trying to censor his site in any way. I moved the one I saw here, in Street Racing, into website discussion, where it should have been in the first place. The other one in the 240SX forums was also left alone, obviously.

Announcing your new site is one thing. Hell, he might've gotten away with putting another in COT, and asking the regulars there to rate his site or something. It's completely another when copies of the EXACT SAME THREAD are posted all over different forums, with no specific purpose than to draw usership to his site. There's many other ways of doing that without having to resport to Spam.

If he had asked Igor for the right to announce it, he might've gotten a sticky, for all we know. Igor is a fair guy, believe or not. Especially since mynismo is contributing member with his purple stars. He also could've just made a link from his sig, like most people do. RedNeck383 is mod....but if he ever made 7 different threads, telling people to check out his CarDomain site well, let's just say Igor won't be happy. But he has literally THOUSANDS of threads he's participated in, that has that link in it, because he simply decided to put it up in his sig.

3) I have no fucking idea where all of you are coming from, attacking mods because they did their job. I didn't want to close this thread, because I didn't want to be construed as trying to get the last word in, and I'm still not closing it. I feel that this needs to be resolved here and now.

4) RACER D12: Take a look at the screen captures again. Tell me who is listed as the thread creator. That alone should tell you something. Mynismo decided to lie, and say he only "started a couple of threads" about it, because he thought that all his other Spam threads had been deleted. If you want, I will MOVE all those threads in here, in the Street Racing forum for all of you to enjoy.

Because it's annoying to be questioned for no reason whatsoever. When have I ever been unfair to someone in these forums? When was the last time I banned someone? And the same for carnut? For a while you were probably the member I "disliked" the most. And did you ever know it? Did I ever flame you? Or ban you? No, I didn't. And I haven't done it with mynismo either. Yesterday was the FIRST TIME I've ever even been in the 240 forums here. It's things like that that make me say STFU if you don't know what you're talking about, and STFU if you think you know what you're talking about because you're probably wrong. Fly, you're not going to get banned, why would you? Who said anything about that? Relax. Your friend spammed, he got banned. It was only temp to begin with, goodness. Read the user guidelines if you're unclear as to what constitutes spamming. And also know that a mod isn't going to ban someone for something they didn't do. Especially not a member in good standing such as nismo. You just have to understand that there are things that go on behind the scenes that you don't see.

i'm asking, b/c it's obvious that he wasn't warned, via PM or otherwise...

and i'm asking b/c from a member's perspective, it didn't make sense, since all that stuff was moved and we, the non-mods, can't see it...

so of course it doesn't make sense.

if we need to get over it, lock this thread, lock or delete the spam threads, and let's leave it behind.

why is this thread still going if we are supposed to get over it...

and on a side note, b/c i've read the forum rules, spamming is a no-no, i agree.
so is flaming, such as telling a member to STFU (continuously), as well as calling someone plebian.

as a mod, you should know that, and i respect you as a mod, and i've never questioned anything you've ever done.

Here's an idea...If you don't know what the hell you're talking about, STFU. If you THINK you know what the hell you're talking about, you're probably wrong, so STFU. He was banned for spamming. If you do it once, that's spamming. Unfortunately for him, he didn't do it once, he did it like 30 times.
