aight, im looking at a 91 hf for 1800, maybe 1300. i plan to put a b series engine in it. either b16 or ls b18. my friends and my dad can help me with the swap, except for the wiring. a friend told me that the axles wont fit on the hf and they i would have switch the discs with the si or dx. is that true?
i know ALOT of people have b16's. im just worried about getting one thats all fucked up and having problems. anyone have any advice or a newb to the honda sceen.

HF is a great body for a swap. Lightest 2g CRX and great for making quick. You should be able to find an hf for that price easily, but i am not sure about your question towards the swap. Welcome to the boards and enjoy your stay (god i sound like a flight attendant).

Yeah youll need new axels, 90-93 teggy axels will do, or if youre really gung ho, they sell racing axels for the b16, but prolly not worth your money. As far as the brake swap goes, never heard of anything like that so far...I think your friend might be mistaken

im not going all crazy. im lookin for low to mid 14s. no boost or anything. so the integra axles with be fine.
whats everyones opinion of the b16 compared to the ls b18? or b18 with the low geared b16 trans?

you will need dx or si hub assemblys. the hf spline count is 23 as opposed to dx/si being 26. basically hubs, rotors, calipers and ur set.

how much/hard woudl that be? so would it be worth getting the hf for a future b series swap. for now, it will be a daily driver once i sell my car and get money for the swap. i just need something older for insurence reasons. so i figured the lighest, 63hp crx would be perfect on gas and best host for a swap. but will it be easy to switch the hubs? so dx and si will both work?

Hub and steering knuckle swap is pretty easy...check out the manuals for removal/install if you need alittle help. I have a 91 HF with B16 swap and had to do the same. Ordered a complete b16 package from hmotorsonline (motor, tran, ecu, harness, Teg axles and intermediate shaft)and they threw in a pair of hubs & knucks for $50...even had calipers and rotors still on them. I did put new cals & rotors because their fairly inexpensive. I also had to get 14" rims because the stock 13's wouldn't clear the bigger caliper.

they may slide in properly and bolt up fine but the teg front knuckles on ef/ed upper control arms tend to end up with more neg camber than the si/dx knuckles. however u did say u used everything but the struts so let us know how it works out as far as camber is concerned.

90-93 teg axels....... if u got tha cash i recomend a full rebuild b4 installing. granted your gonna have to go through a break in procedure but hey IMO it will be better in the long run

also, just so you know, the B18a1 ls motor will be eaisier on the wiring then the B16 would be because you really wont have to do any rewiring for the LS cause the HF already has mpfi, with the B16 you will have to worry about wiring for vtec and other stuff. If you have the time and you dont mind the extra wiring i would go B16, but if you want it done without any major wiring i would go B18

the b18a1 is out of the 90-93 integra right?
