My tranny I got with my swap started making some noise about 5oo miles after I got it in, At first reverse started making some cracking noise when I backed up, Now first gear will start chattering if I let the clutch out too slow, like when driving slowly through my apartments. I had the car up on stands the other day and when I started it the passenger side wheel started to spin very slowly even though it was in neutral. I'm thinking it's the clutch and/or the throw-out bearing or the case bearing...does this sound right? If I replace those would I be alright or should I start lookin for another tranny? :banghead:

my dads bike was having some clutch problems. In neutral on its stand the back wheel would spin slowly but it doesnt do it as much now because my dad flushed the fluid and cleaned everything. Hes selling the bike acctually. He bought a gibson sg special and when he sells it hes gettin a marshall half stack. Sounds like you have the same problem but way worse.

your wheel will spin when its in neutral. It just does that, it doesnt mean your tranny is bad or anything. The chattering, well... sounds like you have clutch chatter. Did you put a new clutch in when you did the swap? Did you get your flywheel resurfaced? Those are things you should really do. As for the noise in reverse, i dont really know. I dont know too much about trannys yet. But make sure your fluid is up to level, then let us know whats up.
