How the fork did I almost miss this thread!? That's an awesome job, man! I'm really impressed with your engine, I was trying to do the same thing myself, and it's HARD! Maybe this'll help me out, I have the same kit.

SupraBoy, could you possibly make a detailed tutorial on making those turbochargers?

No more pics as yet, getting the paint OK. Trouble is my can is empty and finding any colour you realy want over here is always mpossible, Sods law I guess.
Thought I would answer a couple of questions.
geofroley - page 2 has turbo instructions.
OzZySi - I used 2 kits, Road car and Castrol Race car, if you see anything I did that you want more info on, don't hesitate, just ask.
Good Luck
Richie

Im guessing it is some kind of kevlar, same as the bonnet/hood. One upping the carbon fibre craze.

Hi, me again!
Gonna answer a couple of questions first, then ask for some opinions.
RallyRaider :- Spot on! I decided that carbon fibre has been done, I used it on my last model, a Skyline, so yeah, thought kevlar would make a change. Also the wing. The Studio27 Supras come with 2, hi and lo downforce, therefore I had a couple laying around and thought what the hell?'. The Lancer is on hold while I get this done and then I will crack on with it. The problem is that as more and more pics are available, it gets harder and harder. My big dilema at the moment is the rear end, the front is finished, do I try to change the lights or not? And I am not sure whether to do that narrowing on the lowerhalf behind the rear wheel, I guess I will but I couldn't see it on the initial pics.
SupaMan89T :- Sorry man, not for sale! But I tell you what, get on to HLJ and order from there, they don't have them now but I ordered maybe 3 months ago when they were out of stock and a month ago got an email saying they were are their way. Try, you don't pay up front, so it's worth a go. Next I need to find the Tamiya Minolta Mk3 racing.
Now for you guy's :2cents:, I decided to go for black head lamp units instead of the usual silver, I know its only a minor change but these can make all the difference if it looks 'odd'. What do you think?
Oh and a week or so ago I put a 'how to' for the way I do door hinges in some thread or another, I will get some pics in here when the body comes back off for the glass fitting.

http://images6.fotki.com/v75/photos/5/51677/778521/IMG_0085-vi.jpg
P.S. I know I post a lot but I like to be pretty consistent with progress threads, I think that way they are more interesting and sometimes more helpfull if somebody sees something that they may want to try.

Well, one last progress set before I finish the model and say "enough's enough, time for the next one!".
Will hopefully be all done tomorrow and some outside (if the weathers OK that is) pics for the comp thread.
Not much left, interior door panels, wipers, any decals that I decide on, a few touch ups and a good clean.
