This problem just started today. Regarless of where I have the wiper control set it only wipes at one swipe every 2 seconds. Any ideas on what is wrong and what it would take to fix it?
Thanks,

it is all controlled by the turnlever module. you should be able to replace this and it should work right.

My *new* 97 Sable is having a similar prob. with the wipers going at a constant speed (I'm assuming high) reguardless of what intermittent or high/low setting the switch is set at. It's the kind of switch that clicks into position not the smooth adjusting one, and it seems fine on the switch side. :note: The first int. position does nothing (or it's at a really really slow speed) and the rest of the positions are all the same speed. BTW, what is the turnlever module exactly? Is that the actual turn signal switch / multi switch on the steerling column or is this in relation to the little relay that's under the hood that controls the wiper hi/low speeds. I'm assuming since I have no high or low choice it's that module, I have yet to hook my multimeter up to it and test or replace. Should only be a $5-10 part anyway.
Thanks,
Joe

Joe, The wiper relay is in the multiswitch. I had a similar problem and solved it by replacing the whole switch. I think I got the whole multiswitch for less than $50. The hard part of the whole thing is removing the ignition otherwise it's just removing screws and plastic.
