O2 sensor

My "new to me" '95 Ford Windstar needs a "#2 O2 sensor". I've been told this particular van has 3 O2 sensors on it (have not gotten a chance to buy the book for it yet). Anyone know which is the "#2" O2 sensor & where we can find it?

Thanks,
Christina

It should say something like "HO2S12" for the code. That would mean "bank 1 downstream" Just a #2 doesn't mean much. Maybe someone could think of it as "bank 2 upstream" Which #2 should be right around the front motor mount. Also there is only 2 O2s this year. Maybe try that. They should be replaced in pairs. Hopefully that'll be the final fix. Did anyone actually monitor the data stream?

Stay cool.

Christina- there was a change-over between 1995 to 1996 where all US sold vehicles went from OBD to OBDII, OBDII cars have more stringent emissions standards & related equipment. It is likely you have 3 (or even 4) O2 sensors on a V6 engine, but you could still only have 2. Like rex says, you need to read the code. That will tell you the exact sensor.
G/luck

Code po155 is for O2 bank 2 1st position. Or HO2S21. Code is for a heater circuit failure. Anyways the O2 your after is at passenger side toward the front of the engine. Pretty close the the motor mount. Below the exhaust manifold. HTH

Thats right. Bank 2 is right in front of you when you open your hood and look down. The 1st 3 cylinders you see are 4,5&6 and that is bank 2. Toward the bottom of the cylinders (the exhaust manifold) there will be a greenish / blue plug with a couple of wires coming out of it. That is the O2 sensor 1st position. if you follow that pipe down under the engine it runs to one of your catalytic converters where you would find another O2 sensor for 2nd position bank 2.
