first of all its been proven over and over that a evo-8 is faster than a 300zx because 300zx don't run the 1320 in 13.1 they run more like 13.9 if your a really good driver. second awd doesn't beat rwd most the time, for instance i've seen 2 stock eclipse's run head to head one a fwd and the other rwd and they were neck and neck all 3 times they raced. awd is heavier and towards the high end speed they slow down a little cause all tires are working your loosing ummm......... why the hell can't i remember the word i'm looking for, anyhow awd is faster off the line but top end is rwd usually, also depends on gearing and so forth. saying the supra is unbeatable is pure ignorance umm lets see evo-8 and sti will run em down, with 2 exellent drivers these cars are gonna run neck and neck. from my personal experience the sti will out run the supra in the 1320.

dude the guy above me must not know much about cars. dude the Evo could smoke a 300zx not because of the engine but the drivetrain. 4wd smokes rwd almost anyday (except supra)

4 wheels drive is not always best . at high speed you will fuck up your EVO . that why nissan have 2 version 300zx TT. DRAG Racing with 300zx chances are less boi . By the way you know what is super HICAS on the 300zx

Always the rotary for me. I'll grant that the FD had some reliability issues related to the TT setup, but for all out speed and handling the RX-7 is still on top in Japan, and here. Saw a great video of an SVT Cobra, a twin turboed 92 Mustang, a mark IV Supra TT, and an FD highway battling. FD put them all to shame.

Wouldn't you have to say the Skyline is the top Japan has to offer?

freakonaleash1187

the skyline is a great car, but personally, i think it is way overrated. i have heard that it is pretty nose-heavy and imo, it doesn't look all that cool. just because it is really really rare here in the states doesnt mean its the best. i guess i am just tired of everybody saying that the skyline is the only thing there is.

comradegiant

The Skyline has a reputation that is well deserved. The R32 in particular was called Godzilla because it was the strongest of all. The RB26 is one of the most versitile engines on the planet, rivaling even the Toyota M and J series and Mazda Wankel engines.
However, I agree with the founder of this thread in not including it. These are all cars that are available, albeit some in limited numbers, in the US. And no, Motorex does not count. Their prices are prohibitive, and are far too much for what you get.
