ok, i have a 95 gs and i know the engine is not the same as the turbo, but what about the transmission? i am reconditioning a turbo motor as we speak and was wandering if i needed to look for a turbo tranny too. are there any problems about this swap that i need to be aware of before i do the swap??

damn man all i gotta sey is good luck swapin that turbo engine and the answer to your question is yes u would need a turbo tranny for that turbo engine swap * well from what ive heard at every import store and other mechanics around the chicagoland area .... your gonna need a lot of stuff for that swap but good luck tell me how it goes.

from what i hear in order to make that engine swap you need the 4g63 (turbo engine), the turbo tranny, a ecu from a turbo eclipse and all knids of other stuff. also you have to change the motor mounts and so on and so forth bc the engine in the turbo eclipses i.e. gst, gsx is on the other side of the engine compartment compared to where your block in your gs is.. also i've posted this topic b4...its on the 3rd or 4th page now but at one time i considered doin an engime swap in my gs but decide it was better not to with all the neg feedback i got. so far i've been told it would be cheaper jus to buy a turbo eclipse and go from there...jus my :2cents: in this....you can research it more and i'm sure other peepz in this forum will give you more info than i can

umm why are you doin a swap? thats just rediculous! you open your hood right now, see everything in there, well 99% of all that needs to be replaced... along with all of the wired, ECU, engine, tranny, axles, EVERYTHING! thats why i turboed my RS instead of doin the swap, i have only seen one n/t car with the 4g63 turbo engine in it and talk about refabrication! the guy said he spent close to 10 grand just on the swap! i sure hope you know what your doin before you even start to refabricate your engine bay, or your car is goin to be screwed! oh and another thing, for about 2 grand you could turbo your engine and be equal in 1/4 mile times with that stock 4g63 motor if you put that in your car instead. well its up to you but i seriously suggest thinking about the swap! good luck, and if you get it done you should post up some pics of it!
