what is the better car movie.?

i like gone in sixty seconds better.

I would have to agree that gone in 60 seconds was better..
I liked fast & the furious for all the import exposure, but as a movie I just prefer 60 seconds more..

Both were ok. Gone in 60 sec had less car scenes in it but were more realistic except the jump scene by the GT500.

Fast and Furious had a heap of action decent story line but was way too far fetched and blown out of proportion.

yeah, as unrealistic as TFATF was, i voted for it.......simply coz gone in 60 seconds had too many cars and too little time....

Hmmm racing cars vs stealing thm.

i voted for FF just because they had a great realistic "california-like" cast even though the script was badly written, and i liked it because of all the import & street racing exposure it gave.

"gone" in the other hand was also pretty good with also their cast and some cool cars except for that they really didn't go into the cars much except for the shelby and the porche racing the civic were kind of fun parts...

chase parts are fun...

both great movies! -- we need more of these.

well i liked gone in 60 seconds, because of the gt 500. Even though you cant do 130 through water, or make that jump, that race scene was badass! That scene showed real driving not some strait line bs! Has anyone seen the origonal gone in 60 sec!

The third one, i think it was subtitled "Speed Zone" was probably the best car movie ever. I mean how could a movie where a diablo comes blasting down an old country road and jumps a boat warf and just skips across a lake like a stone:silly2:

very hard decision though because gone in 60 seconds was also a very good movie i just liked fast and the furious better because it was street racing :D

the work done in gi60s is way better than that in fatf.... unfortunately gone wasnt a big teen style movie cause the cast was much older.. i hate nick cage... but thats the only movie of his i will watch... cause angie jolie is just too bad and the cars... oh the cars.. the variety and the class and the style... too much... gonna watch it now.. to hell with the fatf dvd.. ok im lyin .. im gettin that tomorrow too..

F&F wasn't realistic AT ALL.
I thought the movie was CRAP.

Gone in 60 Sec. was good. Nice cars, and the plot was much better then F&F.

Yeah, the whole undercover cop thing, and highway piracy was just a lil too unrealistic, hey, lets hijack the trucks at a truckstop, its sooooo much safer and much less expensive......

its like the whole point of the movie was to give the import scene a bad name, i say we all get together and show em how it REALLY is....just wait til i get my new car first :D

I have to say Gone In 60 Seconds, I have the DVD in my DVD drive right now

Gone is 60 seconds is the only one I've seen, so I'll go with that one.

I think as tough as it is I have to go with Gone in 60 seconds. Now that I have seen both many times, I find that I can sit through 60 sec the whole way through, and when I sit down and watch F&F I simply watch only the racing parts (1st street race, Supra vs Ferrari, Charger vs Supra) so i can watch the entire movie in like 30 minutes, no need for all that story bullshit.

yeah, i watched it again, and i was like "wow, that has to be the shittiest dialogue ever put in a movie" listen to how corny it is..."its not how you stand by your car, its how you race your car" welllllllllll NO SHIT

well, if you watch it youll realize that a lottttt more gets crapped up, and the mirror is broken before the jump....

......look when hes pullin in to the shipping place, the jump was for plot, he crapped so much up in the jump that the guy wouldnt accept the car....thus allowing for the final fight scene....so, that wasnt a mistake, a lil farfetched, but the whole point was to allow to lead to the climax

I agree Nismo, if you see the scene he goes to the pier the GT500 is literrally smoking

they both destroy cars which are out of production

the mustang goes faster whilst its maxing out

and fast and the furious is full of retarded shit like the disappearing reappearing floor and the 9 sec maxima

not to mention the NAWS brand name association its started

and then there's the fact the eclipse was never turbo charged

I had to vote for Gone in 60 Seconds, based on storyline and the cars. I love imports and all, but who really is gonna pirate a 18-wheeler, hhmm.....plus, all TFATF did is make import parts go up that much more, hurtin my pockets

My vote goes to Fast and Furious, Gone in Sixty seconds is not even comparable. I mean of course Lamborghini's and ferrari's are great, but they get too much play. I like to see some nice import cars with awesome mods. How many movies have that...:bloated:

There is no excuse for the fast and the furious. The "scream" movies were less sad teen targeting films than tfatf. I mean, jesus! Okay, there are 9 second civics. For every 9 second civic, there are a 1000 stock engined civics with a body kit, and a K&N air filter.

I like movies. Gone In 60 Seconds was not the best movie I had seen that year. The fast and the furious ranks as one of the worst movies I have seen ever. I mean ever! It was on par with Superstation original movies!

I hate rice. I really hate the concept of taking a stock civic, tinted the windows, giving it a coffee can muffler and a 4" exhaust tip, and pretending you have something more than an economy car.

I don't hate Skylines, or Supras, 300ZXs or other good japanese sports cars. I really hate riced up Hondas and Nissans though.

The simple fact that Gone In 60 Seconds had a GT-500 in it, makes it a better movie.

Look at Gone in 60 Seconds...full of GREAT cars, a pretty good plot, and good acting. Simply amazing. and great chase scenes.
Now take Fast and the Furious. You've got the most terrible acting of the main character, the millions of eclipses with huge decals of valkries on the sides. I mean, come on. Is THAT realistic? LOL THIS movie portrays import racing in a VERY bad way. Take for example the 1000-mile quarter-mile race. LOL It's rediculous, i cannot believe that you people voted for this stupid movie.:silly2:

i think gone in 60 seconds is a really good movie.

if the main car had been the panther pink, pistol grip 4 speed hemi cuda that the "sex vs stealing cars" conversation takes place in is 10 x cooler than any rustang.
that car is so cool, it makes my skin tingle when i think about it

Of course the GT500 was fake they had 3 or 4 of them. It doesn't even look like the original car. Why are you going to trash a $100,000 car. I believe I wrote this in another similar post. They are movies they were meant to entertain. If you want the real thing, make a documentary!

i was actually quite disappointed in fast and the furious, there wasnt enough of the cars aspect it jsut concetrated on the illegalities of street racing, which i thaught was a rather conservative veiw on the topic

I looked up Vanishing Point on dvd, and it had a thing where you put in your email they will tell you when its available... I guess if they have enough people show an interest in a movie, they might bring it out *shrugs*

Even tho Steve McQueen made that mustang look bad ass, I would have taken the Charger anyday (it was a Charger right? Or a Challenger...)

i have very high quality breakboxes for uploading vidz (im a video editor)
but the quality of the movie isnt great

i know its not the same as it originally being on dvd
but it wont degrade every time you watch it
i might be able to burn you a copy on dvd if you want

If you want to see some of the best car chases ever, rent the movie RONIN............it's not a car movie, it's an action/suspense........but the car chases are amazing................amazing drivers....check it out:flash:

I pretty much collect movies with car chases. I have F&F and both Gone in 60 Seconds movies. I like F&F just as much as the Nick Cage Gone in 60 Seconds. I guess it depends on if you like American muscle cars or Imports. Doesn't matter to me. I like any car that looks cool.

Although I like the GT-500 more than the 1974 Mach 1, I'd still say that the original gone in 60 Seconds is much better, because of the realism.

I also have Bullitt, all three Mad Max movies (V-8 Interceptor rulez!), the Wraith, Smokey and the Bandit, the Wraith, and Junkman, another H.B. Halicki movie similar to Gone in 60 Sec. Anyone else seen the Wraith or Junkman? I consider those two to be some of my favorites. I think I'll go watch Junkman now.

isn't junkman the sequel to two lane black top? its the sequel to something anyway, not sure what though.
oh, speaking of two lane blacktop, I just found out not to long ago that the movie was shot about 10 minutes from where I live at lakeland raceway..... anyways.....just thought that was pretty cool
