Usually I set something up at a restraunt ahead of time. A dozen roses waiting on the table when we get there along with a little something in a gift box. She loves it because all the people around us are waiting to see who sits down at the reserved table with the roses and gift on it.

dayna...i had a black lexus RX330 and my dad put 20's on it for me..it was extra nice but i totaled that like 6 months after i got it when i turned 16 and they were just like we'll get you sokmething cheap you can drive for a while until my insurance goes down...that'll be a while or until i can start paying my own insurance! lol right now i dint wanna pay my insurance it's sky high!

I'm with steel and a few other guys around here. It is waaaaaay overrated. But if my luck turned around by then I would make it a romantic day. But spending butt-loads of money on V-Day is stupid. Everyone should save their money, make dinner from things you have in the pantry. Light some candles, and enjoy the day/night.

What happens on Valentine's Day this year largely depends on what happens this Saturday and what happens the day before Valentine's Day....

Confused? So am I - but basically I'm taking someone out on Saturday to fulfill a promise that I made and also to understand where we are going. Things are fairly complicated and both of us have bloody good reasons why we need to spend some time together alone.

I keep receiving mixed signals and I guess I'm giving them out at the moment too - there is a lot of noise from events happening in both of our lives and I need some clarity. I'd like or rather need to sort this out soon before certain things begin to happen...

The other critical event is the night before - buck's night for one of best friends. I have been designated 'minder' for the evening which means I have to ensure the comparative well-being and preservation of the groom. His state and the length of the evening's programme are going to have a big say in the following day.

Ahh...Valentine's Day...Time to remember 2 years ago when my last g/f broke up with me(Should've made her walk home :evillol: ). Celibrate love? How about we celibrate the day I'll be in one the worst moods ever? Valentine's Day is so over-rated like Paul Walker and Vin Diesel that it should be cancelled.

But, we're both mostly broke, so, agreed to just get little things and make up for it with something known as 'romance'.

Basically, its not about how much you spend, but how much effort you put into it. So, looking forward to it I guess (our libidos are in sync, which is a very good thing when the non romantic among us are forced to be so).

Oh, and we take the bus from Ottawa back home on V-day, woohoo, nothing says "I love you" like a 4 hour bus ride :icon16:
