I am having a problem with a 1995 Windstar. Every time you hit the brake hard the ABS motor starts to make a lot of noise more than normally. If anyone has ever had this problem before of could offer a soulution to it I would appreciate it. The ABS light is not on. Thank You.

Do you know if the ABS is being activated?

If your ABS is activating during normal braking situations you likely have a wheel speed sensor issue. Just braking hard should not start the ABS. I have yet to hear an ABS system/motor not make a horrible racket when they kick on, especially with 4 wheel ABS.

Thats what I say, if indeed the ABS is infact engaging. If you are sure that it is not, then I say that you may want to take it to a dealer or a mechanic and have them take a look at it, especially if it occurs often, and the mechanic could get the car to do it when he is driving it.
