ok, two questions. if i get a remote start on a manual, i need to bypass the clutch sensor. my hondata has a rev limiter for launch that i think is dependant on the clutch sensor. i also have an overall rev limiter and full throttle shift. will any of this be affected if i bypass the clutch sensor?

and, what is a good brand of remote starter to buy without one of those fancy lcd remotes? those break easily in my experience.

any of the higher end names from Directed Electronics I would pick. No, your otherstuff will not be affected by bypassing the clutch if you use a relay to do it. DEI is comming out with a 2-way LED remote which is said to be much cheaper than the LCD but it hasn't shipped yet.

what kind of relay are you talking about. i was just thinking of the old cut the wires and solder technique.

I was talking just about a standard SBD relay unless you meant to permantly disale the switch. If you want to do that, just unhook the switch. My method, the switch would still work when the RS is not engaged.
