Automatic Seatbelts

The automatic Seatbelts on my '93 SL1 have stopped working. The passenger seat belt stopped in the up position so it can still be used. The driver side seat belt is stopped in the down position. (On a few very rare occasions it may function, but usually not.) Is there any way to manually move the seatbelt back, so I can wear it?
PS- On the rare occasions that it worked, it was when my car got jumped.

Thanks in advance

on your mobile unit look at the bottom of ut where it goes into your pillar and look for an oval tab i think you can pull that out and manually move it if no then you can try to take your plastic pillar cover off and take it off the cable drive and manually move it. but here is the interesting thing, whether you are the original owner or not; you can take it to a saturn dealer and by national law they have to repair it for free because of nationally mandated safety laws requiring that all seat belts in a car MUST function. you may want to check it out on the net first and get some documentation to take with you in case they try to dick you around. it's basically the same law that we body shop guys have; if a seat belt or any part of one is damaged, it must be replaced no matter what but the catch with that is since the car is getting repaired already they will get charged, if not for the parts themselves, at least for the labor.
but as far as the dealership thing that is supposed to hold up nationally.
