need help with 92 v8 rs

:eek: i would die if my baby was ever stolen...or even if she threw a rod. i start to panic when i haven't done an oil change in a few months!

lol, which baby???? im assuming both, but i think that you are the type to take care of your car, so the rod throwing is probly out of the question, and the oil, the 3000 mile or 3 month deal, not even mechanics know where that came from. usually you can safley go 5000 miles or so between oil changes. unless you do very severe driving, the best way to do it is to regularly check your oil, and go by the color of it, rather than a majic number that someone, somewhere made up back in the day.

:lol: you're right...i do take very good care of it. as for the oil, i might change it too much. for 7 months i was doing severe driving so i tried to keep everything up on it as much as possible. now that i graduated from college, i dont drive nearly as much. the only thing that i really pay attention to is the temperatures where i live. sometimes they drop into the teens, so i always make sure that nothing freezes and everything is functioning well. even more so now that it has over 210,000 on it.

i think the 3000 miles came from the oil companies tryin to sell more oil...its kindof like valentines day filling the shopping void between christmas and mothers day...
