i know i promissed these like a week ago....get over it, you'll live :icon16:
i want to start off by saying HOLY SHIT! that was an incredible trip! i saw so many things, i dunno if i can even remember it all. who knows what happened on which day...so i'm just going to post the pics up as they unloaded from the camera
this truck we had seen on spike tv. was said over $20,000 was spent in just fitting the 24's to the truck. tooks these pics day 1....was able to meet/talk to the owner, steve, on the last day. he is hella cool
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_002.jpg
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_037.jpg
the truck has hand controls as Steve is in a wheelchair. that really hit home to us (R.I.P. KEVIN!)

http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_025.jpg
none of my other pics came out :banghead: lenny davis was there all day playing video games :grinno: that interior was insane. alligator, leather, and sude i do believe.
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_009.jpg
i don't even know where to start with this porche. lets just say, look the pics over real good or you'll miss something or another!
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_010.jpg
rear interior was also carbon fiber. it was really hard to get a pic so i'll try and describe the thing in the middle. they built up & around the audio equipment to look like an engine. at first glance it does, they pulled it off pretty good.

one of the really cool things about this trip was the VIP access. the shop owner does a lot of business for the small size of town we're in. so the reps would take us the VIP areas for free food and an open bar. i eneded up being really sick (shaddup brett, lol) so no drinking for me. what does all this have to do with pics? here are som cool pics i took from the kenwood VIP area which was above the kenwood display room. which = some cool pics :bigthumb:http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_033.jpg

pop up monitor in the armrest. i think we saw that in the sony display room

http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_036.jpg
ahhhh, the CRX. the owner was not there...the car was on loan for display, so they didn't know much about it. they had a hard time moving it because of the stage 4 clutch...we got that much outta the guy. the glasstop is not JDM...is a custom fit glass. the bodykit (so they were told) is 1 of a kind. i believe by Ground Designs

http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_043.jpg
unfortunatly on the last day i was running out of pic space on the digi so i only got 2 pics of this car. it was insane. it had 15 monitors alone on the underside of the car (including a monitor in each wheel well of the dirver's side) and it had (i say 1 giant, they say 5 smaller) a fishtank going on
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_061.jpg
if you're a photochopper, maybe you can blow this list up for all the mods. it is a crazy list!
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_062.jpg
if i didn't know there were humans inside...these "robots" would have traumatized me. this one...
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_024.jpg
was talking to the guy. as soon as i snapped the pic i caught his attention and he says "mmmmm, MILK!" and starts chasing after me :uhoh: then this one...
http://www.4thgenerationcivic.com/CES/CES_069.jpg
i saw (literally) across the hall. i was board at the booth we were at so i kinda spaced out watching the "robot" take pics with people. i dunno how but "she" saw me and started waving. i thought :dunno: and walked over there to take a pic. as soon as i take the pic the robot starts making kissy sounds and playing love music. ummmm, okay. note to self: stay AWAY from human robots

I'm lovin the twin turbo porche with all the carbon fiber droooooool. And why would you want to pay 11g's for a 270 hp engine? I could drop 2k in my D16 and have plenty more than that.

All the chrome huhrts my eyes. o.o;
it was Ground Designs...the told the people who were showing the car that it was a 1 of a kind kit. i dunno if that's true or if it's just more on the rare side.
the Alpine car WAS a mini cooper :grinno:
you guys have no idea. that is just the stuff i caught on camera. i saw so much more. some cool products coming out are:
Apline = a true touch screen monitor. the dvd menu can be anywhere on the screen and it'll work. to top that off they have what they are calling reverse pulse in the same monitor. when you touch the screen it feels like you touched a button...it also makes a clicking sound. it looks like a normal screen but feels like you hit a pc key it is truly something you have to experience to understand. i highly recommend you go to your local Alpine dealer and check it out when the new stuff arrives.
Several brands = amp controlled deck. :eek7: yup! no more reaching under your seat or into your trunk. the head unit can adjust all adjustments on the amp. of course it has to be from matching brands :p
Several brands = "monitor screen" in the head unit display. right now you need need monitors and the e-brake has to be on for video to play. these units the picture is right in the normal display area...you hook up to external dvd player which = no e-brake has to be on. i think Sony had the unit that displays 3 pics in the 1 screen!
i know there is more...just can't think of it. i'll add it when i remember :grinno:

If you look on the base of the mirror, you can make out APR.
Very sweet cars indeed! I love the interior on that porsche, I wish I knew how to work carbon fiber, I'd be constantly re-doing something on my car.

The body kit was designed and built by the owner of Ground Designs. It was featured a while back in HCI & yeah, it's badass. The kit was fabricated as a prototype and has since been put into production. Ground Designs sells it, but it's over $4k...

generally i'd be saying "working hard, or hardly working" BUT....
i'm glad you found that. now i know for sure what the hell i was looking at. that car was sick. except for the interior. i hope it's still in the works. it didn't have much imagination into it compared to the rest of the car. i did like the weaved leather look. it had a CF feel but wasn't the CF that everybody else had....and everybody had it.
toucan/ractive had 2 cars. 1 was wrapped cf from the windows down, bumper to bumper. the other car had white CF accents all over it in custom spots. i didn't take pics that day because i was really sick. i wish i had though...

what are you trying to say here? i finally get approval to take the bag off my head for pics?
i refuse to post up some of the other pics i took with steve brown (guy who made alpine car) and gahilager (sp?)....i was so sick i looked like i was a dead person walking. the week before we left i felt a cold coming on so i drank a bunch of oj. what a mistake. that's on my :nono: list. i was okay when we left for reno on the 6th but by the time we flew into vegas on the 7th i was done for. couldn't keep food down for the next 4 days. it really sucked because they were going to steak houses and at all the VIP after hour parties had open bars. oh well. i learned my lesson

wtf are you talking about? :screwy: at the last civic "event" everybody posted up pics of me
how many times i gots ta tells ya? i got that tied off, no more babies here
D15Bitch, i get that a lot. maybe because i walk that thin line. on the way to C.E.S. i set of the metal dector at the airport with my 20 hole dr martens. they let me walk thru a 2nd time and i set it off again but this time with body jewelry. to make matters worse i had a bunch of rolled up change in my backpack which came up on their monitors as "unidentified mass of metal"....i was stuck in their "holding cell" until a woman could come search me. she gets to my belly button area where the hand held dector goes off. :dunno: always made it thru before. i tell her i have 3 piercings so i had to lift my shirt and show her. she then says "uhhh, you don't have any others lower i should be aware of do you?" i was like "NO!" you should have seen the look of relief on her face. neither of us wanted a strip search. ROTFL
i learned a real quick lesson...the new dectors are sensitive enough to now dectect A) eyelets in boots B) body jewelry

I flew out to Cali this summer and had to take of my sandals every time we went through a metal detector cause the buckles set them off.....and my mom got stopped and searched because she had a tin of altoids in her pocket that she forgot about.....watching my mom get patted down by by a fat bald guy who was about 5'2" was pretty funny
