i got a b18c1, and vtec kicks in @ 4600... (sounds like, may be 4700 something.)dot know why...it's normal or may hurt the engine ? (i do not have a vtech controller.) .any other thing may change vech kicks in point? thx for reply.

i have the same motor thats when the secondaries in the intake open up im not quite sure at what rpm the cams finish switching over

Stock VTEC X-over is around 56-5700 rpms. You may have a chipped ecu. X-overs that low create a major dip in hp at the x-over point. I suggest checking the ECU and if it is chipped get a VAFC to tune the fuel map and push the x-over back.
