First: I totally agree that anti=bush doesn't = anti-american. And 'm glad we live in a country where we can be 'anti-leader' without being thrown in jail.

Secondly, the only obligation a leader has to his country is protection. Because of the sole fact that you and I are both alive, we know that our leader is ligitamite. I understand that there were thousands of deaths caused by 9/11 but when U look at it closely, you realize that Clinton knew all too well the threat that the al-quida was to us, but unforunately he opted not to do anything about it. Bush, on the other hand, has the balls to take care of his (and other's) country at the expense of all the ridicule this would cause him.

Finally, you talk a lot about how just because we're the US, we shouldn't have this egocentric point of view. I think you need to explain this a lot better because right now it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. We're the strongest country, economically and militarily, in the world. I dont understand why we don't have an obligation to serve as a global police force. Iraq was obviously not capable of ridding itself from oppresion or they would have done it long ago. Because of the fact that this man held power for so long, we can realize that they're in need of someone's help, and because we're the strongest country, why not us ? Who do you think should have freed them ?

Honestly, I am dissappointed that George Bush made it into power. I believe that he does things for himself, and doesn't recognize what the people of our country want. I think he will do what he wants to do, and no matter what the people of America say, will do it anyway.
