What can I say? I'm not perfect. :)

Besides, I'm only judging your actions and not your salvation. That part is not for me to judge.

So basically you wouldn't believe anything I did tell you. I can't give you the answers you are asking because you aren't really looking for answers.
You are just looking to argue and run down anyone who doesn't believe like you. You are worse than a Jehovas witness.
No, I am pointing out the total lack of evidence and frequent inconsistancies in what both you and others are saying. :) I am as open minded as the next guy (possibly more so), I just don't buy see any credibility in what has been posted thus far.

AHHH will you stop it already?

you, your christianaty is too much. you can be a christian, but you are just too extreme. i read on a christian site that you will not try to change us, but we will not try to change you. you sound like you are trying to change "automotive forums" into "christianity forums".

all your posts seem to go something like this- "no, we must believe in god, we MUST serve god. all of you non believers WILL perish in hell. join me, my friends, in the quest to serve god."

Weird...I don'y recall saying any of those things. or anything even close.Perhaps you are thinking of another forum.

Besides. Isn't this the part of the forum that this stuff goes? If you don't like it then stay out of this section or simply don't read these threads.

You know what they say....If you don't like what's on then you can turn the channel.

OK...fair enough.

Please fill me in on where the universe came from and where we came from using just facts. I have yet to hear or read anything from anywhere(including Hawking) that can explain to me how something came from nothing in the middle of nowhere to become everything. I don't want to hear theories.A theory is just a proposed explanation whose status is still conjectural . In other words...it's not a fact. I'm willing to listen to anything and will try and be as open minded as I can be. I have looked into this a lot and am trying to make sense out of it. Before I became a Christian I took a long look at this subject along with many other subjects dealing with our existance.

By the way....saying you are open minded doesn't make it so.

Hang on - your basing your mindset on one theory above another. I am not trying to explain the universe - that's the key difference here. I would never be so arrogant as to propose having all the answers.

No prick, it's a perfectly good answer.

"how something came from nothing in the middle of nowhere to become everything."

There was nothing, then all of a sudden... God makes the entire universe. Your argument is lost. I win. You are wrong. I am right. Deal with it.

Back in. Did you know in year 11 I was at a catholic school because it was the only decent school in my area, and they tried to expell me. Want to know why? Because 2 mates and myself proved that EVERYTHING in the bible can be contrdicted by something else in the bible. Thank god (how fitting for you) I have flushed all memories of that book out of the proverbial toilet in my mind where all the shit is filed.

What theory am I basing my mindset on?

You wouldn't be that arrogant to do that yet you ask us to be able to do that. When we don't give you all the answers for everything that happened from the time the universe was created you reduce yourself to name calling and spouting off how little we know.

We don't have all the answers. You don't have all the answers. You rely on science and we rely on God and science.

We are all open minded to a point. We are all closed minded to a point.

Nuff said.

You base that on the Christianity "theory". And yuo (and every other Christian in this thread) have already been arrogant enough to proclaim to have all the answers.

"We are all closed minded to a point."
Understatement of the new millenium anyone?

You are close minded to indisputible evidence if it contradicts anything in the Bible. Carbon dating, dinosaurs, meteorites from space containing primitive bacteria the list goes on. All proven and 100% valid. Bring this to the table and it's merely "god testing us".

Crapmaster4000 does it best. He says thing like alcohol and homosexuality is wrong. Didn't Jesus turn water into wine? Wine contains alcohol. A contradiction no? I think he mentioned something like god destroying the city of Sodom (I appoligize if I got the name wrong) because of the homosexual sinners. Then why oh why, if we are all his children, would he destroy his own children that he created? Heck it's been said multiple times he's a vengeful and jealous god. Those are indisputible flaws found in a supposedly flawless, perfect if you will, being.

"6: 'You shall not murder."

Sounds to me that's exactly what god does when he gets angry.

Why even create us if we are going to sin and be sent to Hell? Why would such a perfect being, who created EVERYTHING, create a Hell. A terrible place where all the sinners go. Why create man and let him sin and send him to eternal damnation? That is undeniably evil in nature. Why give him the free will and ability to think when there is the chance that his thought will be wrong, causing him to suffer eternally in Hell because he has sinned in his thoughts? Why create a child and test him to the point where he will sin, resulting in being sent to hell?

It's not right.

Final thought:
When science at this point in time enables us to grow a human being in a lab (morally I think this is wrong but that's another story), why would there be a god? Man creates man.

Oh look, I've gone and grown up.

Oz
01-06-2004, 09:44 PM
MBTN - I will add to that. What the hell happened between the old and new testaments? Old testament = people being killed and sacrificed and God raining down punishment and plagues.

Then there's the New Testament where he's all lovey dovey "I'll forgive you no matter what"

And don't try to feed me the BS line - "God realised it wasn't working so decided to change". That is admitting fallability on a so called "perfect" God's part.

Alot of people are basing their reasoning on the "THEORY" of evolution. That means that evolution has never been proven. The bible has been proven fact for centuries.

MBTN
01-06-2004, 10:48 PM

If you can prove me wrong about the bible, which you havent shown me so far. Then give a passage from the bible and tell me how its wrong. You are twisting the truth just like a bunch of liberal democrats and it makes me sick. Now show me your "proof" and try to put up a fight.

Wow. There is no getting through to you so there is nothing left to say. You are simply the kind of person that will not except anything except what you believe. Did you know I used to be religious? I changed because the world changed. You haven't. I almost pity you. Almost.

I never twisted the truth around, I simply explained what is there. Nobody can deny that now except you. Just for you I will copy and paste what I said in case you missed it. Really I suggest you read it a few times, let it sink in, sleep on it, please do something... The truth sometimes hurts, but it doesn't lie.

Here it is:

Im sorry but you are just taking a portion of the truth and saying what you want to say. That is twisting the truth and now everone sees that. There is scripture to back that up saying God is a Just God and will show his wrath when his people turn their back on them. Ive said this countless times and you still dont believe me.

Damn right MBTN. I don't think God created Hell - but he ALLOWED it to be created. Why would he allow that when he supposedly loves us all so much?

Oh, and when you gumbies are finished struggling for answers with MBTNs post, answer my last one too.
