Thank you

I shot around 5 layers of tamiya clear an hour after the green(my last post was green without clear). The color seemed to darken a little. Also the metallic flakes didnt show too well...color looks too solid which is too bad....

Nothing special except another mock up.

thx for looking.

Also finished the carbon hood. It was airbrushed on thru a mesh. If anyone is interested....

Absolutely amazing putty work! Looks like it was made to be a sedan. Just incredible. I'm sure a ton of people here wish you had made a resin copy or two or three before painting it. That's just awesome, great work!! I am just astonished at how right it all looks. 10 of!

Today I come with bad news.

http://www.image-hosting.net/images/digital/demo/Picture%20112.jpg

The grey part was once a crack reopened AFTER the paint was dried and i thought i was ready to sand then smooth. One day i was looking at it while taking a break from homework and this appeared.

now i have to wait until this hardened, then sand smooth, repaint, possibly repaint the whole body since the green might become different, masking the paint gives a big chance for them to peel off when removing mask. All these done hopeing cracks don't appear again.
Oh shit.

I felt a little bit destroyed.....

http://www.image-hosting.net/images/digital/demo/Picture%20113.jpg

Before that disaster spotted...life was good and i was building this lip spoiler...

Math 31 is tedious these days and it will take me quite some time to get these fixed.

SLO, I know how you feel...I just spilled some Krazy glue onto the rear panel of my yellow 510....UGGH!
I like those wheels you are using and the front lip too. Will it be body color? Graphite?
Look at it this way, you can still repaint the body since you haven't painted the window frames/pilars, right?
This model is definitely worth the time! I almost forgot that you started with a hatchback:p

Thanks for the courage everyone!

675datsun, the front lip would be painted like the hood, carbon effect. Sorry to hear what happened to your 510. T_T

Calculus/chem 30 unit tests scared the living hell out of me. There is only 4-5 of them within the course so i cant screw up for once. This is one of the things that kept me from working too much on the model nowadays.

However i was still able to do something about the crack. So far the crack is covered up althought some new problems arises. The area now is a little bit recessed but i hope it will be gone after sanding the paint. Hopefully nothing will crack off again.

I will post a few pics of the car when i have time.

thank you.
