ZC transmission with an Si final drive :)

What's wrong with the DX transmission? I'm a weird kind of guy, because I actually like how it's geared.... seems just right for me.

..essentially any tranny from a 88-91 civic/crx will 'technically' work...

JDM DOHC ZC transmission

USDM:
D16A6 Si
D15B2 DX
D15B6 HF
D15B1 STD 4 speed

any d series transmission will work, even the 92+ hydraulic trannies, although you'll need the kit to swap to hydraulic transmission as well as a B series mount kit.l

spin the input shaft to check that it spins freely (it will be a little bit tight, but you shouldn't have to strain).

check the input shaft for side to side play

inspect the axle receiving holes for any stripped gears or broken pieces.

Also, its not a bad idea to take the drain plug out to check for any metal shavings in the oil, or to see if its black (it shouldn't be).

I believe the starter is different between an automatic and a manual, am I right?
