Wife called in a panic - low coolant light was on. What are the common reasons for coolant loss? Intake manifold? I don't see any radiator - so no cap leak??
Help!!!!!!!

My coolant light has been coming on lately and I have been smelling radiator fluid through my ventilation system. I told my dad yesterday and he says that their might be a leak in the heat core. So I am going to try and replace that and see if my light goes away. Another reason I believe the radiator leaks in the heat core because my light comes on but yet my radiator resoiver is full and my car isn't leaking any fluid.
So if your car is having the same symptoms try to fix the hoses in the heat core.
Good Luck

ur not gonna see a radiator cap on the radiator. the coolant is put through the overflow tank. there is many reasons it could be leaking coolant. is there any puddles on the ground from leaking?

My engine coolant light would come on quite a bit, and the reason I mine would come on is because the cap on the reservoir tank isn't the best, and it'll get high pressure in there and just push it up and out, if you want something cheap to do about it, just try replacing that.
