Sliding Door Squeeking, Locks dont work

well, I have 2 problems with my 98 ford windstar, the first being the front doors dont lock when you push the button to lock them, and they dont unlock when you push the button, you have to lock and unlock them manually, by pulling the little post, which is a bit difficult because its not very long, any idea's how to fix that? maybe the wiring has a short or sumthing? all the other locks lock and unluck when you push the buttons.

My second problem is, when its raining or has rained, the sliding door squeekes and squeeles when you are driving around, it doesnt seem to move or anything, i was thinking it might be the sliding wheels it sits on, or possibly a peice of weather stripping that is wet and causing friction with another part of the vehicle, making it sqeek.?

Any suggestions or hints would be greatly appreciated to fix these little problems.

For your second issue you might want to get a can of silicon spray with straw attachment and spray channels and weather strip.

Good Luck.
