first of all, as Brian said, GroupOne is a club based out of Dallas that consists right now of a show/race team with an audio team soon to come probably by the end of summer/early fall...

we are a tight Group of peeps with our main goals to be show and race, improving our rides, and bringing more shows to the Midwest (such as NOPI and HIN, to name a couple). anyone can hang with the Group, but to be an actual member there are qualifications that have to be met. i'd gladly pass those on to you through email or you can just drop into our site (in my sig) and check it out for yourself.

our current show schedule starts in June and goes to September and will be taking us to places like Chicago, Omaha, St. Louis, yada yada yada and then finally back down to Dallas to show with the Dallas chapter at HIN.

we're always taking new members as long they're down with the Group and want to strive toward having their ride be show-status and show-quality.

as far as current members: we have one of the tightest (and fastest) 3G Eclipses in the city, we have (no doubt) THE TIGHTEST AND FASTEST Supra in the city (but it is having some work done right now), a sweetass fully kitted AWD Talon, a totally rally-race ready Subaru Impreza that actually travels out of state to participate in rally racing about once a month or so, we have a super clean S2000 that shows with us... the list goes on... oh and my ride as well... definitely one of the most noticed and recognizable 2001 Civics in the KC area. Then we have some seriously up-and-coming wannabes that are having work done on their rides as we speak in order to be show-ready by June... Brians Prelude, a kitted Del Sol, 3G Eclipse, 2G Eclipse, Integra.... anyway, this is getting way too long... sorry about that... just check the link in my sig and you'll find out more! later fellas!

hey I'm out in olathe and I have heard alot about G1 me and my friends started our own club and I just wanted to say that I have respect for alot of your carz but their are some that I just can't like some of those tiberons and cavaliers I mean seriously what's with that. I have a stock '91 civic Dx (it's sooooo slow I can't stand it) that I'm ditchin' for somtin' bitchin' start's with B end's with 3 you will see her soon enough but recently I got an Acura RSX Type-S it's pimp :smoka: but it still need's a little help I have plan's but that's all right now

Actually we don't have any cavs or tiby's that are actually in the crew yet - the Tiby's are still trying to reach their mod requirements... maybe you'll like them better when you see them show - they might look better to ya. of course taste is taste and if you don't like them i'm sure i cant change you mind :D Congrats on the RSX, i luv those cars when the right things are done to them... look forward to meeting you... till then... later!

hey man, we are a serious motor team with rising standards - the requirements are too deep to list here. if interested (or just wanna see some nice KC rides) check the site in my sig - all the requirements are there under FAQ. Later man!

well i'm pretty intrested about the speed team, but i don't think my car would be able to go that fast on my bugdet. also i'm still learning to use a manual for every day driving(i can shift good while moving but going from clutch to gas while completely stoped is another thing). i'm also trying get some prices on some lambo door hinge kits (if i can find the things).

well, we'll still be here when you get more acquainted with the scene - look us up. also, good luck with the hinges - they're everywhere, you just have to look in the right place for them. they also seem to be "ride specific" so you need to find a celica information base to work from... imho.

actually it used to be James from Trends' Supra running at about 400+ hp, then my buddy Shaun bought it about a year and a half ago, put it into the shop and replaced everything, rebuilt a couple of things, swapped a couple of things, and now it's at about 550+ hp.

Hold up....That car is at Performance by Design right now...Tony up there is my boy...He knows my Supra you can ask him about it.

Yeah, Perf by Delay helped to blow that Supra up. A few weeks ago the engine had a leak and caused it to go up in flames. it burned for about 15 minutes before the fire trucks got there - luckily the flames didn't get thru the firewall - it all stayed in the engine. As far as i know Perf By Design accepted all responsibility and is going to pay to repair it.

I told my boy Shaun that he had better tell Perf By Design to just cut him a check so that he can keep it out of their shop. It was already there previously for over a year non-stop and it took them forever to get anything done on it. No car should ever be in a shop that long no matter what the hell it's having done to it.

no offense to your friend Tony - he seems like a cool enough guy - However me and my crew will always recommend against having anything done at his shop.

Hopefully the Sup will be up and running again soon!

I'm coming from a state with over 14 shops and I realy hope KCMO has atleast one. I'm strickly into JDM honda and autocrossing. Please let me know what the scene is out there. Thanks.

best shops= KC Trends for wheels, tires and some performance... Nu-Image Auto Salon for performance...

actually GroupOne Motor Club is based on a concept of being able to cover all the bases that we have been approached by. we are nothing like a "high school banner and wheels club"... we run our sheitt like a business through organization and planning. Most of the members are in their mid-to-upper-20s and we are in the process of updating our site to reflect all of the different angles that we've accomplished or are working on.

We definitely have a strong base for out Show Team... our "huge wheels and body graphics" team as you so eloquently put it. we are now about 10 members strong and about to grow again. each Show Team member is excelling toward a magazine ready status by the beginning of next year.

We have also started a foundation for our Speed Team, which will encompass all of the different concepts of speed, but mostly focusing on 1/4 mile track as well as motorcross. We are focusing on these aspects because we have been approached with enough outside interest to get it going. As far as on the forum, there are a lot of perfomance-minded individuals that would love to talk all day long about JDM and performance mods. i however am not one of then... I'm all SHOW.

We also have a budding Sound Team that focuses mainly on SPL and Sound Quality. we have a couple of trophy winning sound systems now and will be be doubling by end of summer.

Then there's also the newly approaching Bike Team as well as the Truck Team. Again, we have opted to expand in these separate directions because we've had a lot of people approach us and ask us if we would start one.

anyway, this post is long enough. hopefully this will help squash your preconceived notions about G1 or at least answer some questions that you may have formed about our crew. the only thing i can say is find out for yourself what we're made of and then go from there. :D later!

You made a comment that you where "all show" but realy there is no such thing. In order to have a trophy winning show car the ride must encompus mods both inside and out. you have to have a lot of engine mods and your own custom fabrication to win a real show contest. The car must virtualy have nothing stock.
Just like a performance minded car does not look stock just in a more functional way. I.E. suspension and brace bars, ram air and intercoolers, performance wheels and lip kits for added aerodynamics and so on.
You guys have a very diverse and BIG group, I'm looking foward to moving to KC this summer and doig some racing!!

cool cool man, it's good to hear that you've got some knowledge on the subject of show and race. usually when i'm out and ppl ask me what's under the hood all i have to do is say that it's all SHOW and that shuts them up... but you're very right, in order to win at a show you must have all areas of the car covered, not just the interior/exterior.

as far as me, now that the outside is approaching a resting point i am going to start on the engine/performance... gotta be well-rounded!:D

Hey guys I'm new to this site. It is great to see so many honda guys in KC. Anyway I have a black 93 accord 2dr ex with a few minor mods: Intake,Header,Exhaust, Clutch, Short-shifter and sway bar to name a few. I'm also in south KC near redbridge it would be cool to meet up sometime. Hey, I don't know if anyone has mentioned thi already but does anybody know good shops around the kansas city metro area that carries accessories and parts for Honda accords? I heard that KC Trends is pretty good. I'm thinking of getting tail/clea-corner/bumper lights for my accord. So are there other shops similar to KC Trends ? Thanks in advance!
