2003 Sable LS Oil Change

My father is telling me he cannot find the drain plug in the oil pan on his new 2003 Sable LS. I'll be going to his house over the weekend and will check this out for myself, as I find it hard to believe. Is the drain plug in an odd location on this vehicle? Also, is there any mystery to doing oil changes in these newer cars, and any other recommendations for him in doing routine maintenance?

Yes it is a very strange location. whe i change the oil in my 1993 Sable LE i have to let the oil run down the side of the oil pan then whipe it clean.
