I got mine for $802 (with shipping) from www.manhonda.com . I was gonna install it myself, but the dealership offered to install it for free.

No, not in awhile. But, they are considering it next year. The lot we have most of the events in is huge...so it is feasible to have a ProSolo event.

not very... about 20-30 per event. we also have a hard time with the local community when it comes to getting rights to use a parking lot.

I'm guessing you guys get alot of seat time out there. Over here, we get 160 drivers that compete at each event. One of my friends (who has a similarly-modded Prelude), is going to autocross this year, but he's having a hard time finding events near him in Alabama.

With a little bit of luck Iīm going to buy a black VTEC Lude like axngenīs one next monday. (without the OEM body kit) Itīs black too and built in year 2000 with about 14700 miles and air-conditioning. Itīs completely stock and the only things Iīm going to change will be the suspension, turning signals and maybe an AEM CAI for the first time. Does anybody has got a CAI on a lowered 5th gen Lude? Iīd like to know if itīll fit without problems on a lowered Lude with stock rims/ wheels!? Did anybody had any problems with water or in winter with ice and snow yet? Itīs raining a lot at my place and I donīt want to "destroy" the engine. Thanx in advance.
By the way, most of the Ludes in this thread are damn nice!!! Good work!:smoka:

not too much seat time... i would like more. we probably arent as organised as your group, and our timer is crap, so we have a lot of restarts.

also, most of our guys run it as a test and tune... the whole group makes a lot of showings at regional and national level events.

CAI fits fine. lowering wil have no effect on it, as where i live gets flooded a lot, but i have yet to hydrolock mine. you just have to use common sense on the road, like dont go driving thru rivers and such.

Veetec--as "drift" said, I've had the AEM CAI for over a year...driven in rain and snow, and have yet to have problems.

drift--a number of the competitors compete in regional and national events. Four of our members (2 men, 2 women) won their respective classes last year at Topeka.

i havent gotten the new rulebook yet, but i heard that the SH got tossed from STS due to it's ATTS system. what's this "STX"? a new classification between STS and SM?

Seen some good look'n ludes. My baby is a 2001 lude I bought new in Germany. I am in the U.S.A.F., so money is kinda tight. My first mods so far were to lower the with German racing springs, dropped it about one and half inches in the front, with about a one and a quarter inch in the rear. I also got an awsome deal on a set of 17"by 8" BBS RC's. Definetly more mods come'n as soon as I get the money.

Yeah, i've been meaning to go back to the guy who put it on and get them painted too, but I just haven't got around to him yet!

Nope, no way could i afford a genuine IMPORTED mugen kit! I live in Australia and the shipping alone would cost me a fortune! I bought it from a guy who copied it from his genuine Mugen kit ;)

Price was very reasonable for a kit (front bar, and rear ground effects), AU$800, plus AU$50 for postage from Melbourne to Sydney. Came in this big-arse box too.... Nice suprise when I got home! :D
