help and a book

ok well first off i need a book for my 1997 subar imreza no one around here carries it nor will they order one for me any one know where i can get one online.

ok also i am having some trouble with some lights. my dome light doesnt work and neither do my dash lights. ive had these problems since i bought the car. i checked fuses put a blub into the dome light and still am not completly sure. im going to check all the fuses again on sat and fix my out breaklight.

also i kinda like this but im told that its not souposed to do this. my headlights dont come on unless the car is started do any of your headlights do this?

You can download manuals for any modern Subaru at techinfo.subaru.com but it costs $20 for 3 day access so you better get all your downloading done in that time.

And your lights are supposed to turn off when your car turns off and not turn on unless the car is on.

Idelaysionl is quite right, on most Subaru's the headlights and running lights will only turn on if the ignition is turned on.

ok thats what i thought as far as the headlights i didnt think there was anything wrong with them. any ideas about the lights. i might download the info how detailed is it idelaysion.

The complete owners manual and the complete factory service manual is on there. I'm pretty sure they even include all the pictures and diagrams.

I have no idea about your lights, there's no telling. Could be a wire cut somewhere, or something grounded out, or who knows. I would say download the factory service manual and use it to track all the wires that go to them, and check them all with a test light or something.

yea i was going to set it up but there site went down right then. ill have to get them in the morning. its to bad it doesnt come as one large manual its like a bunch of smaller parts ill just download them all and print out a hard copy and make a couple of cd backups.
