Awesome project...
But you'll have to adjust your lines...cos one car is gonna have 2 windscreen cleaner water jet things, and one car isnt gonna have any...or you could just shave them off...for that nice clean look...

I think that cutting further forward, perhaps straight down the middle of the front wheel arches would be a better approach. Surely you will want to keep as much of the front end of the 180 as poss to retain its character and lines. my 2c

Today i did a bit of cutting! lol.
Used a saw that i picked up from my LHS:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/saw.jpg
I Decided to cut the 180sx first so i cut on the red line:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/cutred.jpg
First i just scored the surface:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/lightcut.jpg
Once i cut all the way through the 180SX i took the front end and placed it over the S15:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/180over.jpg
The used a marker to mark were i will cut:
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/marker.jpg
I was very happy to find the cars mached almost perfect!
http://slidecentral.rs-scooby.com/JD%20Models/Index/Pictures/Images/s15.180pro/match.jpg
Next step will to be to glue the car's together and start the putty Process!
Here are the 2 cars matched up!

Lookin good so far man, are you making the S15 front on 180sx back into a truck?
for colors, my suggestions are
Purple <some cars look pretty sweet in purple!
Pink <Yashio Factory style ( I think sumbody said that already)
Green <like your peugeot is
Metallic Blue
Gold <that would look sweet with black decals
or Gunmetal
