describe a little better what you mean intake back-firing, ive only seen this on a carb'd vehicle and it was cuz the plug wires were on wrong.

this also happens when using nitrous. are you using nitrous? if so change to direct port or move your nozzle closer to your tb.

I've also seen the intake backfire on my car because the plug wires were on wrong too. :D Right in my friends face.. He was looking at the distributer with his head right by the intake. :D

nope all plugs on right nothing except the valves i guess

it can also be caused by improper ignition timing.
