Hey Everyone,
I just bought a 96 SL2. Anyone wanna share information on things one should know about this model, or Saturns in general?
So far, the only thing i've noticed is that it's got a low level whine as the engine runs. It's got 147k on it and runs great and is in great shape.

Had a 95 SC-1 for 5 years. Great car. Always check the oil every time you fill up. Try not to let it go below 1/2 quart low. Some Saturns will use oil. A quart in 1500 miles is consider good in some cases. Some doesn't use no more oil then any other car. Keep up maintaince & it should be a good car. :2cents:

hi i just got my first saturn too, i dont know if you are into power, but myself, i put a cold air intake, a 2 1/4 in cat back system, 7mm bosch wires, and bosch plus4 spark plugs in my car, and the fuel econ is better, and i got a really noticable boost in power, i just ordered a v1 chip module that is supposed to increase horse power by 13-20, if you want to know more about this , feel free to email me in about 1 week so i have time to install and test it

are you talking about the venom chip module?
there is no aftermarket computer for the saturn, people have been tryin to work on this for quite a while with no success. though removing the standing and moving rev limiter has been done. contact bbb at one of the other forums for more info.
the venom chip has been contraversial, some people say it works almost everyone else says it doesnt. supposedly increases power up to 5,000 rpms. dont know why it doesnt make a difference above that. i wouldnt waste the money on that. what kind of cold air intake did you get? aem?
