yeah ill be using that manifold when it goes in...its a 92 cx mani....turbos aight...painted her silver...it wasnt in that bad condition at all. very lil up n down shaft play.

total cost so far of my build....$235 should be going in next week when i get the last $75 i need to run the oil lines and get the exh piping.

came off a 99 sylvia...also used on the older skyline motors....dunno how well its gonna do on my car but well sure find out.

thats not a CX manifold, its a D16Y7 96-00 DX manifold thats been chopped off and had a flange welded to it.

those are actually better than CX.

since you started this thread, im going to steal it for a minute and let a little surprise of my own slip.. lets just say i went back to D series and i've got a turbo project of my own up my sleeve... IHI turbo, HF manifold, 450cc DSM injectors, TurboEDIT chipped PM6, DSM SMIC with a custom dry ice "race box"....

I'd like to see how yours turns out :D

hmmmn the guy who sold me the turbo and mani said it was a cx...i wouldnt know really as i only build on the 88-91 platforms. yeah im too going with the afc hack...heard to much horror stories of fmu's at idle...my set up is just gonna be simple... t28, my mani, dsm smic, 440cc dsm inj, safc, no chipped ecu for me though....throwin my chipped pg7 on the side for now. dry ice box? for the smic? i was just thinkin bag of ic on mine for the track.

d16y7's come in 96-00 cx's as do the dx's and lx's have the y7 also so it is technically a cx manifold

The LS really didnt impress me that much, seeing as how it only ran .1 faster than my d16z6 with similar mods..and sorry, but all the parts went with it.

Oh, and BTW, the DSM injectors are 450cc not 440cc

i dont know how my buddy did it......i know hes godd with computer stuff....anyhow there is no speed govner and no rev limit on that ecu....i know there are a few chips replaced inside....and it even has a few sockets....also unless the fucker switched my stock pg7 for a shipped pm6 board :banghead: anyhoo it does work really really nice....i need to get some pucks of the board and post them here...I'd like to know how you chipped the PG7, it doesnt have an external EPROM and if im not mistaken they can be added on for data loggin purposes? maybe thats how it was done....if not hell i dunno.

well i just wondered because all of the current OBD0 ROM Editors do not support the PG7 chipset. the EPROM is contained in one "chip" with the microprocessor, making it nearly impossible to chip.

oh well on another note....got her spooling today....iw as so anxious i cut up my intake and used my stock si intake piping and hf piping, modified them to make bands and hose clamped them bitches down(also a member of home made turbo :icon16: ) still tuning the bugs out right now...so far though shes movin pretty well. as soon as i pulled into the garage my oil return hose crackd :uhoh: oh well ill just get more hose later....still runing on open exh...but its not too short....anyways i should have my legit piping in on monday as well as my bov!
