Although I haven't really thought that he would be coming back, I have always had the thought (or maybe hope) that he would be. Although obviously a lot of people who have posted in this thread haven't been a big fan of 2pac, I have been. Although there is plenty of good arguments as to why he is alive, there is also a lot of aguments as to why he is dead, both IMO all make sense.
One of the things I don't understand though, is Tupac always wore his bulletproof vest, no matter where he went, but why on a night as major as the night of his death was he not wearing it? On the night of his death, he was heading back to Suge Knight's mansion after doing a gig, then going to a fight IIRC. Somewhere on the internet is a story written up by his body guard who was with him the whole night, wasn't meant to let 2pac leave his sight, but when they were driving back the body guard sat in a different car to 2pac.
On the second CD of his album "Better days" the last track is Tupacs voice saying "Expect me like you expect Jesus to comeback, Expect me N.... Im coming". It is probably just some bloke payed to say that to keep fans buying tupacs cds, but I must admit the first time I heard it, it got me thinking.
The new CD's of "unrealesed" songs may just be some bloke imitating the voice of Tupac, but it sounds convincing enough for me. Although the thought of somebody making money off of making people think he is tupac makes me sick, it is still good music and I will gladly listen to it.
I am not trying to argue or anything I am just saying what I understand. There is really no reason for people to be arguing over this subject, it is like the Imports vs Domestics, everybody will have their own tastes which may not suit other people, but thats no reason to argue.
If tupac is coming back, or not, either way I am still going to listen to his albums and enjoy them, the same way I always have, whether he is alive or dead.
Just my :2cents: .

Somebody shut this thread down and close it.
Sorry, censorship is not a tool in the mod's toolbar. If you don't like my opinion,I urge you to argue your point coherently.Demanding thatthreads be closed because you don't like what people are saying will get you nowhere.

Yogs, i have tons of respect for you.....
The anti rap comments need to stop...Everyone here should just let everyone have their musical tastes whatever it may be...dont just diss on a genre of music just because it doesnt suit your tastes...everyone's tastes are different.....
If you have tons of respect for him, respect his right to an opinion. He can say what he damn well pleases about rap music and you dont have to like it one damn bit.

Its so easy to get the goat of rappers and their fans (for the most part). They put to much stock in what other people think.
There that goes again..."and their fans", like anybody that appreciates rap is part of some group that somehow lacks just because of it.
I have never even realized there was this on-going thing about this disparity in music tastes in AF till this thread, but I must say it appalls me, as I would expect a bit more tolerance, if not respect from such "worldly" people.
The 17-yr-old wanna-be thug on the southside of my town, or the 40-yr-old white inmate that has rap CDs in his cell, and me have absolutely nothing in common, I would hope, except that we would all appreciate the new Tupac CD that might come out, yet we are all labeled together and ridiculed together?
Think of these series of statements and how ridiculous the groupings sound when referring to stereotypes:
Whites
Blacks
Asians
Hispanics
Country fans
Rock and Roll fans
Mustang drivers
Honda drivers
Corvette drivers
Like I said in a previous post, I doubt if any of you bashing rappers can match some of the more eloquent of these guys' abilities to put thoughts into paper in the witty manner they do.
It's not that I care what you guys think, it's just the thumb-nosed way you react to rap and their "fans" suggest a slight pompousness...also a sense of being "smarter" than the average "rap-fan", since you "know better" than to listen to that music.
Well, if you do know better, it sure doesn't show it in the way you guys remark about another persons' tastes and choices.
Just so you understand, I tend to prefer Alternative Rock now-adays...doesn't mean I'm "too-good" for rap, though.

Yes, but the pompous way it comes out suggests a look in the mirror, when it comes to judging other people and their choices. If you can't even see your own blemishes, why point out what you percieve (imagined or not), in others? That's just hypocritical.
The Beatles' music is now probably one of the blandest out there in relation to modern music, but it used to be judged as the devil's work.

At what point did I say rap fans are lacking? I am making fun of something that is stupid (that 7 theory), not the people who are fans of it. Are you suggesting that rap fans cannot do stupid things?

There is a big difference between tolerance and acceptance. I tolerate rap just fine. I just don’t accept that its any good or worth my time to listen too. I do not say it should be banned or eliminated, but I can voice my opinion at any time.

I’ve not said anyone who listens to rap is somehow inferior. I have indicated that I think rap is crap hence, an inferior type of music. There is a big difference. Some people here rip on GWB, I disagree with them, but I don’t tell them not to do it. Pretty much the same correlation.
But don't dispare. I dislike Opera more then rap. Its just I just don’t hear ridiculous theories from the Opera crowd.

There is that thing about the "fat lady" that's been going around...;)
About this thread, you'll have to understand, though I do find the "Tupac theories" somewhat ridiculous, look at the source.
Rap is a predominantly black-American influenced music, this we cannot escape. As a people, African-Americans have been, and quite possibly, still is, the receptor of varied, and interesting (heinous?) conspiracies. That in turn, bred a somewhat "conspiracy" mentality where there is (real or imagined) evidence of "the man's" tampering into their daily travails.
The fact that one of the smartest individuals that has ever come out of such a community had to be taken so untimely from what would've been a great mission...and get this right, he would've probably entered politics eventually, even as simply a voice. Anyhow, him being taken too early, as people saw, is somewhat unacceptable, and has brought on various theories, to justify it, even though most rational people have given it the simplest one...he's dead.
Now, how long have people held on to Elvis being alive? Do any of those people listen to rap, you think? It's not the music that bred the theorists...think of that.

You're comparing apples and oranges... Elvis and Tupac have nothing in common at all.

Mystery is what draws us to some people, like 2Pac. There was something mysterious about him and all the "coincidences" and theories just add fuel to the fire of intrigue. It was the mystery and contraversy behind 2Pac which is why fans want to believe he's coming back.
