this is a very old thread. to sum it up, i hated the car. it was the worst experience i ever went through. the car was a completely p.o.s.

He even had to have someone help him install a FMIC kit. I mean how dumb can you get? that is probably one of the easiest things to install on a car, maybe besides an air filter kit.

Whoever banned that dude did not ban him long enough, he needs to be on the Pep Boys boards, where they talk about their "APC muffler, APC tailights, APC shift knob"-just like the commercial says...that is one of the funniest commercials I have ever seen, has that mexicani dude from FAF on their talking about his riced out civic and how bad all the parts on it are, what a f'n joke. If anyone falls for that advertising blunder they should be shot in the fucking head and have their lisecense revoked permentely.

back on topic, I think that Z he had could of totally kicked ass. 400hp from a stock motor in a Z? can you say whoop ass on the import power? You running 400hp on a stock reliable car, no nissan engine can do that..If he had some decent tires on their to get traction and a LSD with some transmission mods that car would easily be in the 12's, maybe even 11's with slicks. on a stock motor... none the less if he actually did some research on the motor and got a cam, intake manifold, and carb that engine would be pumping out probably 50-100more hp. 500hp in a 300zx will smoke the shit out of a lot of cars... too bad he doesn't have any intiative to make something good... I think that Z was the best car he ever had, hell it was even already swapped. Transmissions go bad especially the 700r4, any transmission goes bad hell those 700r4's are ALMOST as strong as a t56 manual transmission, if he complains about the drivetrain of that car just wait till he starts breaking shit on his 240sx that is MUCH, MUCH weaker in that department. Selling that car was his worst mistake but can you blame him? he is a self proclaimed ricer, he likes looks over performance.... I say we take a tank and blow his fucking head off because he is the type of person that gives the 240sx and sr20det swaps a bad name and ricer image.

eh, sr20detpower, mark said he spent $3k on maintainence alone in like 2 months, and it kept breaking down. Not all of us are mechanics or have the time to learn, if I was in his situation I would do the same. I'm not saying that car didn't have massive potential, it could have definetly been a beast. but maybe he needed a reliable daily driver more (which was why he bought that Maxima). I love 300zx's, though the 80's styled ones were definetly redneck-ish, kind of ironic since it's an import.

I don't like him because he told a mod to ban me and that I never had anything good to say on any post.....

doing that makes me jump on your shit for being a little sissy to the mods....


3k on maintenance give me a break....

if you spend 3k in parts for that car it would run like a charm

complete tune up would be about 110bucks in parts AC delco brand even. Transmission build up for that car is about 1200 at the most. Belts, Hoses, filters and fluids would not be more then 2oo bucks. instead why don't you learn about what he spent that money on....trying to rice it out... LOL

paint job, EXPENSIVE transmission rebuld(he got ripped), racin seats, steering wheel, black interior body panels..... name 2 things that have any performance value that he did to the car and Ill give you a cookie. The kid is just a dumb ricer...If you gave me 3k for parts on that car it would have been a hell of a lot better, needing maintenance work or not.


his plans for his 240sx are a body kit and orange paint. That should say it all right there, only cars with flashy paint like that should be ricer boy cars, show cars, or sponsored race cars where the company decides what goes on the car in the first place.

No man, those were racing seat COVERS :) Though, he DID install a CAI and had an APEX N1 Duals system put in.

Hey guys im putting a project together and i wanna slap a 350 small block v8 engine in my car but i dont know where to get the info on the conversion or a kit i know where to get the engine if anyone can help me out it would mean alot to me.

I mean come on that has to be the worst slap in the face for Imports... I mean the POWER oooh ahhhh but not worth it... I say do what im gonna do get a light 240SX and swap in a RB25DE then Upgrade that from there.
