Saturns In Japan??????

today i found out it is true, saturn had cars they sent to japan, driving on the right side and front running lights for the daytime, the one i saw was fully loaded but had no saturn spoiler, had a cd player too. nice car to drive i really liked it. saturn stoped making them and had a bunch left that they could not sell in the U.S because when it comes to cars that belong some where other than here, they have all these stupid laws that make it so you have to get all this stuff done to get it legal in the U.S, so saturn decided to donate the left over ones to schools with automotive programs, thats how i got to drive it, im in an auto class. but i have this idea i might try, if i can get the car from them im gona find a totaled U.S saturn in the junk yard, and switch the V.I.N it just might work...............wish me luck

I know a guy that has a right side drive satty......what it was was a mail vehicle that they needed to get rid of......he has no prob getting it inspected in NC.......but he does get some funny looks on the road........it's turbo'd by the way!!!!!!! :grinyes:

thats cool your friend has one, i have seen those here in the U.S too, but this one is actually built for japan, it made it over there to than saturn decided to bring it back and donate it. where did your friend score a turbo for his sat????

He got his turbo from Twistec..........I have some pics somewhere of both mine and his turbo setups......will post when I find them.....
