Have a look down the list of your user options. It did it to me when I first joined. I think it just does it by default and you have to change it if you don't want it to email you everytime someone responds. :)

But I need more money so its been on hold for about 2yrs.

How far licence wise does the BAv take you? Comercial and instructors? or just comercial and then some differnt ratings on a variety of aircraft?

Yeah we get 220 hours total, that inculdes the flying for PPL, CPL, and Multi Engine Instrument rating (single pilot)
we also get the theory requirements for the issue of the ATPL (airline transport pilots licence) 170hrs are in single engined aircraft (piper Cherokee), and 50hrs in a light Twin (Piper Seminole), I have also done about 10hrs aerobatics as part of the course in a CT4 Airtrainer (like those yellow ones the airforce have).
The degree can be very hard and very busy, basically its a 4 year degree in 3 years
Yeah its great fun, I absolutley love flying. I have nearly finished, so I have got all the licences and ratings, i just have to burn off my last 10hrs, of which most are in the twin engine aircraft (cruising around at 160knots):D
I think thats about it..
I certainly recommend that if you like flying, go get your PPL even for just recreational flying, i'm sure you will never regret it (apart from the $$ factor)
