Hey all,
I finally got my GReddy cat-back & I want to replace the cat before I put the exhaust on. My ? is this; should I go with an aftermarket 'high-flow' cat, or should I just throw on a straight pipe? If I go with an aftermarket cat, do any of you recommend a particular brand?
There's no emission laws here in ND, however I'm sure it's still illegal to have *no* cat. I'm not real worried about it though. I seriously doubt any cops here are gonna want to lay flat on the ground to check for a cat - lol!
BTW, I was checkin' out some of the "Best 4g Sites" & noticed that I'm famous :grinyes: Check out the pic in: The 4th Gen Civic SiteRing: http://www.geocities.com/teampimports/

sup man, I have both. I got the straight pipe and it comes out on the right side of my license plate, but since we have emission laws here i have the high flow cat on there. I went with full catback system and it is really deep. Even when ur in the higher rpm's it is a nice deep. plus if u have a system, alot of times my exhaust will harmonize and it u just have this cool sound coming out of your car. I also hear straight pipe but can say for sure.

Just go with a high flow cat, if I were you, I'd still stick with the stock cat. They're actually not all that restrictive unless you're runnin' some serious mods.

Speaking from experience, the high flow cat is the way to go. The straight pipe makes the car sound and smell awful.
I don't think the flow will be decreased much from a straight pipe to a highflow cat either and the sound is much more plesant with a cat.
