well, ive killed my freinds mustang (3.8 V6 convertable) a hundred times.... but thats about the only time I dont get killed :crying:

i'm not trying to be an asshole or anything..
but, depending on the trim level(HF,DX,SI) of the CRX, it may only have 60-90hp.

I raced my friend's 99 accord LX with my 98 Cavalier, 4 door LS and I won buy an assload. I was quite happy as carpoint says the 2 cars have the same horsepower.

anyone here ever race a sunfire??

Anyone else try to race a Stratus R/T? I know they aren't an import, but they are a serious challenge. I tried in the wet and just spun one tire (I need an LSD bad)for a short time. I had him off the line, but he pulled on me so bad.

I've race a few civics and easily taken them. Also raced a tempo (at) which was damn easy. Haven't raced much other than econo boxes though.

haha where to begin lets see I smoked a newer model honda civic couldnt tell what year didnt have my bifocals on to look in the rearview mirror, a 94 nissan sentra, oh yeah and one of those gay new v6 mustangs. All in my 92 cavalier 2.2L ohv with oxdizing red paint.

With my Z24 I've raced a 88 CRX with B16A with few mods beat it by about 2 car lenghts : 93 Civic hatch with B16A with new intergra computer headers, full exhaust, intake, 55 shot of nos, and the car gutten out and well unfortunately he beats me by about 1 car lenght : 2001 Civic SIR with headers, catback exhaust, intake and car gutten and I beat it by about 1 car lenght : 94 prelude full exhaust, intake and I beat that one by about 2.5 car lenghts : Dodge RT stock about 2 car lenghts : 93 eagle talon turbo and I loose about a half of a car lenght... and the list goes on.
All I have to my car is an iceman intake, full exhause, Dual friction clutch, lowered 2", and I have a full stereo system in my car...
Trust me here in Timmins Ontario everyone is going with imports, but which I could pretty well say I could beat them all.

anywayz, i've been racing for about 3 years, about 3 months with this cavy that I have, and so far its been alright. it seems that the domestic cars are harder to beat than the imports.

anywayz, with the chevy, i raced every thursday night for the past three months (and probably other days but those are the dates I remember). I can't tell you all the races i raced in, but here are some,

i raced against a civic, forgot what year or model, but I know it wasn't si, anywayz i beat that car (don't really know the margin of any races unless it was a real slaughter), and in this case it wasn't, but then again it wasn't even close, probably in between them

i raced a toyota celica, and this celica was funny because he had small sticker in his back window, it wasn't just any sticker, but it was a Honda logo sticker (what a dumbass)

but the race was pretty close, I beat him. My friends said I killed him by a wide margin, but my friends are retarded and I'm assuming that they said that just to make me feel better. Because I honestly thought I was going lose. But it worked out my way and win.

But I hate Ford taurus. Thats the only car that beat my cavy so far.

First off it was a prelude from a a 75 roll. He pulled a second till i droped it into 4th from 5th. Once i got it into 4thi started pulling really hard. 5 seconds later bang i hit the speed limiter. I was like of shit. Then i look in the mirror he is a good 4 car lengths away. I think i need to get the vss switch mod done.

Second race: Me and my cav, Him and a Civic hatch cx w/ 5speed from a dig. You all know who won here.















I did. Huge ass burn out and put it into second and was off. Haha he had no chance.


I have a 2003 5 speed Ecotec.

maximus, I never said that my cav was stock and I never said I lost please I said a taylon TSI couldn't beat me and it wasn't stock looking, I stated that my z had been modifyied! I've invested alot of time and money in this car. FYI, the 3.1 had alot of work done to it. Spent a couple of grand just on the engine alone. dropped in a stage 3 cam, lift kit, new shaved heads ported and polished, custom grinded the valves, bigger injectors, fuel pressure regulator, headers, bypassed a/c compressor, stage 3 clutch, cat back 2.5" dual exhaust, superchip, performance accell coil packs, lowered, blue gauges and NOS, the works with this cav!!!!!! and to top it all off a pearl blue paint job with ghost falmes all over the body, custom skirts, and 18" rimz and last but not least a pager alarm ended up costing me approx ~$13,000 bucks. cavalierzzz.......reprazent!!

and this taylon tsi was no stock looking car either. oh i forgot to mention i eat integras and nissan maximas

With my 2000 2.2l cav with nothing but K&N air filter and standard tranny, I beat 2000+ style mustang 3.8 V6 standard tranny. Only real race that I have lost was to a Acura RSX type S, and considering the stats on the RSX, I am surprized I kept up as well as I did.

I raced a 93 Civic, (supposedly with V-Tec and NOS according to the stickers all over it...) with my old 4-dr 4cylinder 1988 Cavy and wasted the shit out of the Civic...it was nice!! My bro was watchin and he told me he thought i was dumb for accepting the challenge.....but i smoked em!

with my stock 2003 2.2l ecotec cavy i killed a 03 civic with CAI and exhaust system; i ate this crx http://www.flexspeed.net/rides/crxsf.php ; i beat a nissan something with CAI, exhaust system, and headers.

I whiped a ricer honda. He had his ground effects bumble bee tip cowl hood with tach in the cowl and a cold air intake and his racing stripe good for about 75 hp. It was an easy win.

I have the best one yet... i beat a 400hp 73 camaro w/ my 2003 cav (intake, Full exhaust)... his car got to side ways and by the time he got it in the right direction i was 1/8 mile away

I dragged a '03 Civic with cold air and exhaust with my stock '89 Z24 and smoked it by 1 second in the quarter mile

i have a 97 grand am with the ld9 and isuzu 5speed. the only mod i have is an iceman intake.

I have an 03' Cavalier LS Sport Automatic and I beat a Newer 2000 Hyundai Tiburon and a early-mid 90's automatic Acura Integra and a 2000 automatic Saturn.

That tiburon had to be a 4cyl auto also cuz they run 15.6 stock (6cyl 6-speed) and that acura does the same.... now i can see that saturn, i also eat them up but i have lost to a tiburon b4 cuz it pulled on me at about 45mph

smoked my friends crx a couple times and an eclipse. the eclipse missed third gear but if you cant drive get off the road :)

all i have really beat are numerous riced out civic hatches, cause thats all we have in my little town

My 2000 Z24 smpked a v6 Passat by 2-3 cars at 70. An idiot with a raspy winey LOUS A$$ civic with a wing bigger that a 747...MULTIPLE car lengths!(he was NOT happy). A 2002 Stratus again NOt happy. icant find anybody to race. all the cars in my town suck ass.

i have a z24 cavalier, 2000, with no mods and i raced a ford bronco with a V8 351 windser in it... we took off on the 3rd honk of his horn and we both just started spinning. by the time i threw it in second he was about half a car lenghth ahead of me (he stepped on the gas about a second before i did cause i was really expecting him to walk all over me). by about 40 mph we were about even, and by the time i hit 100 i was about 4 car lenths ahead of him

YA ummm...I had a 1983 Z@*...It ran a 16.4@ 83 Stock...SO ya! , My 2000Z24 ran 15.9@87 Spinning thru 1st gear.! So ummmm ya I CAN BEAT A Z28 too!!!!....SPECIFY THE YEAR!!!!!

well i just got my 2001 Z24 so i havent really had a change to race it. But just from driving it around i can tell the car is going to give those little rice burners a run for their money. I am impressed with the stock 150 HP from a 4 banger, it seems more like a V6.

I also have a 98 Cavalier.I've had 8-9 cars in my life. Only one was an auto. So I know how to drive a stick very well. I've only beaten a few cars with my Cavi. It's completely stock. It just does'nt have enough juice to beat alot of the Civics,Saturns,Sunfires,Z28's(LOL). The only cars I ever beat were a CRX, and a Beretta,okay and a late 70's Chevy truck.But I was already doing 65.He tried to cut me off. I had him untill 95, then he was right on my bumper!!!!

not sure what hp i'm running, got no dyno for miles around but this older guy i know who helped me figure out some of the stuff to do to the top end of the motor figured about 185-200 on paperto

That will be approximatly 180-200 hp. With a good driver possible low 14's, maybe a high 13.

so my buddy buys this hyundia accent (1999) for 9000 and i get this 92 cavy for $200, finally its on the road and we set up a race
hes runna a 1.9L with custom exhaust, custom body kit, k&n intake, some new ignition system, and new fuel injection.
then theres me
runnin a 2.2L cavy, with K&N, CAI, and Magnaflow exhaust, and some custom ignition kit.

we pull up to the stop light, he looks at me, i look at him, light goes green, being that his is standard he smoked me off the line but within 50 feet i caught up to him and blew by the f***er turned on my neons, passed him and headed to the next set of lights, he had to be 15 sec behind me the whole time,

My max speed...165 km/h (80 something mph)
his... 155 km/h (75 ish)

In our z24 I beat my g/f in our 240sx. When i'm in the 240, I beat her in our accord. When i'm in the accord I beat her in our z24.

sorry, not gonna happen with those mods. Since when did a cav with 200hp do 13's, when a stock SS is good for 13's with well over 300hp?? think about it.

like i said i don't know how much hp but we'll find out this summer when i throw it on the dyno, and i'll get you guys a 1/4 mile time from the track
