Anyone like the "NEW" AF?

Does anyone like the new and improved AF? I really like it, very easy to do things now, and nice colors, hahaha :grinyes: Opinions anyone?

I don't like it. I think it sucks. I liked the old one better.

I know I should'nt waste my time saying I dont like it, which is kind of true, but I guess I should shut up and just live with it. But I do have a question, Can you still Upload from AF and [img] them the usual way?

- I don't like the new color
- Took me 5 minutes to figure how to post a new thread
- avatar don't work anymore
- No link to post a new message on top of page (at least I don't see it)
- with smilies, sometime you need a resolution of 1280
- sticky are less easy to see (don't expect newbee to see them)
- I don't like "all the same color" thread.. I prever alternate between 2 color for pair and impair post..
- No more "level" aka stars :disappoin
- nothin is in good place. you need to search for the post new thread, or make a search (i talk about the forum listing and not in a thread
- Color are more like "everyone make love, praise the god etc..." a bit to fade

im still getting used to it. I usually just come here to view and get info which i really was in need of today. As long as AF is up then im happy.

I wouldn't mind if that particular bit of uselessness just died and disappeared from my memory, and from this forum entirely. Or, at the very lest, from the standard smiley box garbage.

Im sorry, but i really dont like it. It makes my computer lag worse then it did before, avatars dont work, and i liked the stars. :thumbsdow :1zhelp:

Well, I m very dissapointed, as there are so many things that make me want to puke...

For one, the :gay: colour, it's not so easy on the eyes then the white IMO.

And it does seem to me that the overall shape (pixel-wise)) is way too large, almost seems the lettertype has been made look bigger, and there seems to be no room for the messages, as the left side of the screen (one with avatars... ) is soo huge...
also , the disabled avatars, and the disabled stars, the fucking [img] dissapearing for the attachment type is really a BIG downer...

AF car modeling is lucky to have the best content IMO, because the layout itself is enough for me to look for another forum...

Another annoyance. Too wide an image distorts the entire right side column..... Not just the post. Why did we have to upgrade, anyway?!!?

I agree with both....

and there might be some minor improvements for the good of the forum, but it seems more of a downgrade, instead of an upgrade...

they seem to have made a ruch-job on choosing the colours and the lay -out.

Oh, and btw, is it also with you guys, that the page is always bigger then the screen?

first I was complaining about the post count being lost, and now , somhow it magically appeared...

It does seem to be it's a WIP, which is worked on at the moment, so salvation might be near, for the avatars, and the other stuff...

Also, discovered a "rate this thread " stuff, which might be usefull, but for the moment , I don't really see the use of it...

what I do agree, is the greenish button on the right of the postcount, which is probably linked to the reputation levels, that you can find at the left of the edit-reply buttons.

Weird. It gives thumbnails for attachments. That should speed up load times for you dial-up users. Finally a sort of decent feature......

The only thing I dont like is :swear: how you post up pictures now. You have to click on it now to open up an image when it was so much nicer when you didnt have to do anything except just look at it :swear: :swear:

Would like to reserve my comments til I get around here more but seeing as how things need to be rated and a some feedback will help so hopefully....

I think the width of the forum needs to be cut back for those who do not have high resolution enabled.
I am using a 21" monitor with 1152 x 864 and even that is not enuff.

You know, its like someone came into my room and repainted my whole entire room... lol
It may be a joke but hey most of the members here frequent this place everyday and if you change their 'room' colours, they wont like it.
Same with the 'furnitures' around here. Everything's in a mess. It may suit some people but there are others like me who would like to say "Dont you dare touch that!"

Overall, it does seems like a rush job to me and I gotta be frank on this one.

My apologises to those who took a hell load of trouble to try to 'improve' things around here. Great effort but I prefer the way things were.

On a different note. New functions looks interesting though and there are lotsa them.
Hope you guys can do something and explain those little bitsy details on how they 'operate' Would appreciate it very much.

Just give them time, to clean this room and make it look cosy, and who know with all these new furnitures and gimmicks, we might become to like it ... let's just hope this is a phase they have to go through...

It's hard to read, it seems like change for the sake of change, my friggin' 19" screen isn't wide enough for the new format, the damned servers are still slow or busy, if they want to make a change, make the damned servers more efficient and don't fix what's already working. It took me a while to get use to the functions. But the :useless: is just occupying too much space.

Did anyone took a look at the private messaging ? I have over 400 messges and it's really strange.

"Confirmed Private Message Receipts" are on top and I need to go ALL THE WAY DOWN to see my message.. another down side :twak:

Folder: Inbox contains 111 messages. You have 433 messages stored, of a total 10000 allowed.

How does this thing work?
