i got a dx motor, a crx si mpfi, si distributor, and my wire harness is changed to controll the mpfi. i just got a hold of a 91 crx si ecu and i put it in the other day and my car was hesitating from 1,000--3,000 rpm but then after 3,000 it just picked up. what do i got to do so that i can switch my dx ecu to a si ecu?

..what do you mean switch your dx ecu to a si ecu? like literally change something inside the ecu? that's not gonna happen... I'm sure there's some other reason for the bogging besides the ecu.. it could be alot of things..

naw i mean take out the dx ecu and put in the si ecu. i called this shop where i get my car worked on and he said that i can put it in but i dont know y it makes my car hesitate from 1-3k, so i just took it out and put back the dx ecu

yeah man see i dont know how to do do all the wiring and shit so i sent my car to a performance shop here in orlando where they just work on honda and acura's and they changed my wiring harness to work with the mpfi. so i figured since i got the si mpfi i should be able to use the si ecu but maybe i will just take the computer to the shop and have them do something so it will work right.

IMPOSSIBLE.

If you did the wiring right, there is NO WAY IN HELL a DX ECU will run an MPFI setup. I know, because i've tried it. The DX ECU makes the car run on two cylinders and will sound like TOTAL ASS.

Yeah...that is what I was thinking, cuz the DX ECU will only fire two of the 4 injectors... :bloated:

Here is a link to the DPFI to MPFI wiring...maybe you can double check your shop's work.
