$3 boost mod????

i saw in rockinwrx's sig that he had a 3 dollar boost mod? i did a search and came up with nothing and i'm about to get a wrx in the near future and would like to know about this. thanks.

There was a thread about this a good while ago, there is a fitting in the turbo system or somewhere that you can change that will allow greater air flow and therefore give you more boost.

When i did mine i went to LOWE's and got the parts in brass... rather than the white nylon fittings..

When nylon is heat cycled it becomes very brittle, last thing we need is a mass of nylon particles being propelled rapidly via turbo pressure into the intake.

But, if down the road you go with an aftermarket ECU or reflash, you'll have to switch these back.... or tune for them...

well that sucks about the reflash thing cause imma have about 3500-4000 from my rex and i was gonna get a reflash from turbo xs and a vf22(?) turbo upgrade, sti injectors, 255 fuel pump, turbo back exaust, and a front mount. i'm tryin to find one that already has some of these things installed cause i know i can't get all of this for 3500 bux and imma have to pay for the laber at lease on the exaust, injectors, and fuel pump i could prolly put the turbo and front mount on myself. btw are there any how to sites that explain how to do this???
