My personal opinion is that there is no way that they can be worth it. I have a 1994 SC2 and I was thinking about purchasing nologys until I saw the price tag. At this point I began to shop around. I purchased a set of Holley Laser Shot Annihilators on ebay for $35. They are 9mm wires which is big upgrade from the 7mm stock wires. Maybe if your car is modded to the max nology would be the way to go.

I agree. If you are going to put on a cold air intake and a complete hi-flow exhaust system they might be worth it. They are thick wires and each has a capacitor that will allow for a more powerful spark. On the other hand, some have had problems with these. I have a set of these, and I am satisfied with them. But, I don't think they are worth what I paid for them.

nologys are pretty good wires but they need to be used with a better plug like Beru Silverstone or Denso Iridium, MSD or Accel coils help alot .....if you are goin to get the plugs and the coil packs then the nologys would be better than if you had them on stock coils and stock type plugs, on thw nology web site i belive there is HP stats on it, depending on your budget because the denso plugs cost me $60 alone the coils (MSD) were $60 a piece and you need two, and the wires were $135 .. my air fuel was better with all of this and the MPG's went up .... still nothig like stock MPG because i have done to many mods so it has a great appitite for gas ...93 octane at that,on that subject if you get the ported polished intake and bigger throttle body and have your ECM modified you will need to run 93 in it so keep that in mind before you get some of the crap (93 starts to add up big time)

Vitek is the way to go, a tad bit less expensive but out performs Nology in many tests I've read. They produce a powerband that you can actually feel. Yes you need to upgrade your wires if you plan on making your saturn be all it can. The stock ignition can not handle the mixture required to fully obtain horsepower after intake and exhaust. NGK is the best plug for theese wires however their iridiums are hard to find, and there is alot of hoop-law as to whether or not NGK favors some types of vehicles. Vitek themselves recomend Denso Iridiums as well. After alot of upgrades have been done there is some research that suggests one can increase the gap of the sparkplug to obtain maximum power....I have yet to see this.

why would you want to spend $160 on nology hotwires... unless you have a ton of HP running there is NO REASON for it. i say stick with the 8.5mm wires if you want to upgrade

... you would need alot done to the car for it to be worth it

more efficient, more hp, more torque, better mpg...and no downsides. u can pay more than 160 for wires that arent as good as those neway. + they make overall engine response better. it would be worth it to get hotwires whether u have a done out ride or not. they should be one of the first upgrades you would get!! it creates a base for better horsepower and torque returns from ground up.

...besides, power costs money. 160 is not much. u pay 160 for some power with no downsides at all...$160, SO WHAT! power is power. period.
