GS turbo?

I have one question is it possible to make a 1997-1999 GS into a turbo engine car?? and if so how much might it be and how many different ways are there to do it ex. rebuild engine, find an engine, or is it possible to just have a turbo custom built to the car? obviously i havent done much research, so if anyone could help me i would be extremely greatful. THANX

Yes, you could turbocharge it, but don't expect an end result of more than 220-230hp with supporting mods. You could do a full engine swap if you wanted more power, but I'd recommend going to a 1st generation (4G63T) engine if you do the swap. You'll be able to get some serious power (550+ with proper mods) if you do it right.

So you can buy a 2g GS/RS and swap the Turbo 6 Bolt in?? Which kinds of mods would you need?

We have already discussed this before, and came to a conclusion, there isnt any 6-bolt kits out there yet, or to anyone on here's knowledge. An Evo VII+ motor might be a better option. My repeating old threads is over.

im sayin if i had a GS and saw a Turbo 1g Eclipse, I could take the engine outta that and along with other mods, end up with a 2g turbo 6 bolt eclipse
