I havent heard of this swap being done yet, which doesnt mean it hasn't happened. This is no 7 bolt to 6 bolt swap, the 420A is backwards to the 4G63 meaning, the 4G63 has thr tranny on the passenger side, and engine on the drivers side, the 420A has the engine on the passenger side and tranny on the drivers side. I don't know if there is a kit out there for this swap. Your best bet is ditch the car and buy a GST or GSX

i cant ditch the car because i only paid 1500 for it and all that is wrong is it has a busted head

Then get the Hahn or Star turbo kit, and rebuild the motor so it can handle 20psi, that I know has been done before. Or start looking for a kit to swap in a 4G63

if i were you i would fix then seel it and get a gs-t or a gsx. i have heard that the 420 to 4g63 swap is not worth the time and money. motor mounts are completely different and stuff like that

Might try seeing if you can get a busted Evo 8 engine and drivetrain. The Evo 8 engine is on the same side as the NT 2G's. No way you could bolt up the rear driveshaft and diff , but your best bet would be to cap the transfer case and install it as FWD only.

Thats the best bet, but it would still require a solid center diff or VC in order to run just FWD. Plus all the work required to convert to the correct harness etc. Man, what a pain. By far the best thing to do is use the HRC kit or sell the car. Even a VERY expereienced DSMer or shop wouldnt want to do this. It jsut doesnt make sense finacially.

Thats your opinion. I actually enjoy doing stuff like that. And its not so bad if you just swap the entire harness. Been there , did that.
