installing bushings

Energy Suspension bushings are said to be 'easy to put in'. I know if I got stock Honda bushings I would need a press, but people say you don't need one to put in energy ones. Is there any truth to this? And if so, how is it done without a press?

you still need a press to get the stock bushings out, but you can put the new bushings in without a press. just put the black center bushing in first (if that particular hole is supposed to have one) and then the two outer bushings. they fit snug, but its not too hard to put them in. after that just put the metal shaft in the middle, and then tap it down with a hammer.

That's great news because that means I only need to pay to get the one side done. I got the rear control arm bushing kit from Energy Suspension thinking that it had the shock bushings in it. My mechanic cut off the left said and then realized that those bushings weren't in the box so he used one of them as a temporary bushing just so that I could drive the car. That means when my REAL bushings come in on Wednesday, I can take the left one out and put the correct bushing in. I still need to take the car in to get the right side done because it needs to be torched off. :frown:
