IMO this is a new step for automotive industry in ugliness......this car is Fugly....and to make it worse what is whith the advertising that suposedly this car represents the style for some new generation or crap like that......
this car's ugliness is rivaled by only one other car: the mighty honda element......i'm pretty sure the designers of both cars were smoking the same thing
this car can almost make even aztek look good:frown:in comparison
scion Xb

I think that the scion Xb, and the element tie for fugly car. The aztek is ugly but a least its not a rolling box. If I wanted one of those I'd put wheels on my refrigerator. Now that I think about it most cars are ugly these days.

Teh XB is better looking than the Element. The Element just uses too much of that gray plastic much like the Aztec did. It makes it look cheap and fuglier than it already is.

Even bigger improvement...here is the photochop I posted a few days ago in another forum, with the high eyebrow-mounted turn signal lights beside the hood, and the overdone upper intakes removed:
http://members.webjnky.com/albums/All-Other-Cars/Widebody_Aztek_photochop.sized.jpg
But the point is...should a person HAVE to do this much work to a car just to make it look OK!?! Had the designers STARTED from this point, the car would have sold much better and received far less criticism.

I dont understand why people cant grasp the fact that there are those customers out there who like everything about these cars. They really arent bad vehicles, and there are people who do enjoy how they look. I think Im going to stick by a comment Ive made in other forums about this car "Dont knock it until you drive it" It really does handle nicely.

ok that photochop id almost swear is a vibe not an aztek you can not make that car that elongated and almost sleek look. and the aztek while it may handle well is a pos the electrical fails after about 25k miles, has continus other problems, and depreciate faster than you can possibly pay it off. 9 mos old and only worth 9k dollars vs the neer 30k originaly paid for it has to say something.

Trust me ssj, the photoshop is indeed an Aztek.
The pic of the heavily modded one was already a big improvement, with the owner having rounded the wheel wells, flared the fenders, painted the car one color, upsizing the rims, etc.
The photoshopping (which I photoshopped too by the way!) was just removing the upper turn signals and two extra inlets from the top of the hood.
Doesn't take too much to clean it up significantly!

OMG you are not joking...do you know anything about cars....do you have any common sense because both will tell you that 21 inch wheels with low profile tires cannot go offroad....
sorry if i am a bit harsh...but i do recomend hanging out in the parts of the forum that are more technical
and trust me on this one...21 inch wheels are good only for looks....nobody would bother to make forged ones since they are meant only for the show off market so they weight insanly much and that is unsprung weight(if you would like i could explain you why the usnprung weight matters so much)
that thing in the picture would be way worse offroad than even the X5 and the x5 is a tarmac SUV
you need to see past marketing buzzwords that manufacturesr put out...manufactures decieve people as a matter of fact
i'll gurantee you this my cougar will have better offroad capabilities than that car.....
beside the 21 inch wheels...loot at it...it will have no suspension travel
and as far as sport suspension that won't help a car with such an obvious high roll center....it dosn't help in cornering to flip over

The element and the Scion are the worst to me, not just because they're ugly, but because,
A. People are actually paying for cars that have almost more plastic than steel
B. Toyota and Honda, PAYED, someone to design these. Lemme get a refrigerator box, (a real fridge has too much metal to be an equal to either of these cars, so cardboard will do), cut windows into it, paint it and put wheels on it. Tada! Toyota and Honda, you have your new vehicle and I'll only charge you half price for the designing of it.

In my opinion they are all ugly in their unique ways, the scion and element are boxes with engines, the aztec, well... can't describe that, between them though i'd have to say the scion b/c the aztec is out because it is a pontiac and the element isn't as boxy as a element.(never thought i'd ever say anything like that.)
